That is a well-known fake. It's also very doubtful that they would set a game in a location that has already been in a Fallout title.

Also, as much as I would love to see Boston and the MIT in Fallout, the chances of getting an android civil rights movement is just too high.

Did not know that, just saw it some time ago and thought it was legit. Damn those fools who made it to a pit full of deathclaws

About time they revealed the location

I think it would be neat to see it in Alaska at some point. You have a lot to explore there--leftover military bases and battlefields from the Chinese invasion, endless winter tundra, some of the biggest mutated grizzly bears you could ever see (they would make Yaou Guai look like puppies)...there could be a lot of promise from a Fallout taking place in Alaska.

Plus they could provide even more in-depth back story for Operation Anchorage, which would be REALLY cool to see. I don't know, I just think it's time to go to Alaska...plus, it would be fun to see if there's any Vaults that were created there, don't you think? And there are some new game mechanics that could be implemented, including perhaps a 'hypothermia' meter. Also, there could be remnants of the OA forces who maybe splintered into their own faction after the bombs dropped, becoming something different from the rest of the ex military that became the BoS or Enclave. So I vote Alaska for the next FO game!

I think a Fallout in Alaska could be a really good idea, if done correctly.

For starters, it would have to be much more survivalistic. Alaska is a dark, cold place. Surviving in the intense cold, feeding and heating yourself should be priority. Dying from hypothermy or hunger should be a very real danger.

Communities would probably be few and near food sources or old technology capable of sustaining a community. I'm thinking sea/river side towns along with some vault-style underground shelters. Mongol-style nomads in less frozen areas could also work.

Seattle would be pretty cool in my opion, maybe a canada dlc? the space needle would be a cool twist with the retro 50s feel that is present

I think that was one of Bethesda's plans.
Their idea was that Seattle would have played an important role during the Anchorage Reclamation Operation, lots of military and such going through the city. (so even more Anchorage Reclamation and pre great war stuff references).

While Seattle still might work I could honestly do without those references.
But truth be told, I want Fallout to go back to regions/states, and not a single major city with small settlements around it.

Give every settlement/location its own world space that is connected by an overhead map.

I live in Cheyenne Wyoming

I think it would be cool if the next fallout took place in denver or wyoming. Lol. They could show the Denver International Airport? lol. I personally a big fan of fallout!

Dog City huh? They've mentioned it a few times, so they might as well. I'd personally rather see Obsidian work on something like that though.

This is specifically why I cringed when I heard so many rumors that Fallout 4 was going to be in Boston. To be brutally honest, with Bethesda at the helm does it really matter where it's set? You know as well as I do, a Beth made Commonwealth would have the same old super mutant orcs, BoS, Enclave, etc.. all explained by a simple "oh well, they just walked up there from D.C. for no reason or reasons we won't tell you or otherwise shit on canon." The Institute would probably be a poorly written rehash of Big MT.

NOW

Personally I'm in favor of either the Midwest region (Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, The Twin Cities) or Legion territory (AZ, NM, CO, ETC..)

The only issue with Legion territory is if it's set post 2281, they would pretty much need to establish solidly weather the Legion won or lost the 2nd battle of Hoover Dam. It might be fun though if the "canon" ending involved Caesar and Lanius being killed and Legion territory has degraded into the descriptions we hear of the Legion tearing itself apart with infighting. Basically the factions could be splinters of the Legion, one trying to rebuild in Caesar's shadow and others trying to build new armies and maybe even ex-slaves forming their own army. The NCR would work there too because assuming the won Vegas, no reason why they wouldn't cross the river to finish off the Legion and start annexing more territory.
