Which games do you think could be made into good movies?

Fallout would make a good title. BUT! only things from it's history, like "The Rise of the Brotherhood" or about the Resource Wars...

Lots of HK movies are made that are similar to jade empires(they are called wuxia movies).Lots in the earlier years(i would say late enough for color, but not enough for CGI and super special effects) .

I was thinking about Planescape: Torment as a movie the other day. I think it could be cool if done well.

]Oh, I didn't watch the "Alone in the Dark" movie. Is it really so bad? No connection to the game? "Low performance"?

Haven't seen it either, but when I do, I want to have lots of close friends around, ready to pat me on the back and give me alcohol to wash the sorrow away. What a waste of an awesome game.

Oh, yeah, now I remember, I saw a Nightwish video for a song for that movie. Didn't know that was AITD. I've heard elsewhere that that movie sucks big scaly Godzilla balls.
I have a bad feeling Bloodrayne is about to get a class A franchise rape too.

It seems to me that Alone if the Dark is not only a very poor movie, but it also completely fails to capture the style and setting of the game. Does Uwe Boll really not know that Alone in the Dark series is set in 1920ies and that Edward Carnby is a level-headed detective who always wears a suit and neat mustache, or does he simply not care?

"Saying Uwe Boll’s Alone in the Dark is better than his 2003 American debut House of the Dead is akin to praising syphilis for not being HIV."

Funniest comment ever!

Certainly shines hope on BloodRayne, another Uwe Boll project. Let us not mention the other video game licenses he is interested in making into movies.
The only thing worse than a bad movie based on a good game is a bad movie based on a bad game.

For the love of all that is good on Earth (as limited to video games and movies), Sign!

By the way, apparently he is working or planning to work on Far Cry, Hunter: The Reckoning, Fear Effect and Dungeon Siege movies; and last I saw was negotiating rights for a Postal movie (also heard something about a Hitman movie as well).

Not only is he a shitty director, but his taste in games is terrible, too. Of the games you just named, the only one with an interesting story and deserving of a good movie adaptation is Hitman. I guess we should all feel grateful that Uwe Boll never played Fallout.

I'll watch it if it comes out. Hopefully he doesn't screw it up too bad.

Postal: The movie?

:: twitches ::

If the story of Postal was anything like that of Postal 2 I can already imagine the movie might actually sell.

But not because of the atmospheric depth or the character development. More like the way porn sells.

Hey what about Larry?
But he should be just like Rambo there - you know, that Sex & Violence (TM) attracts most viewers...
