Who are all you people?

We are always happy to get some new people. Really though! You should also try to get your hands on Fallout 1 and 2, once you get used to it's old age you can really discover a great gem of RPG inside ;)

Couple years back restarted my profile because super young me liked underscores and older me didn't. Even then though I had maybe 1000 or posts over the course of eight years or so, so mostly a lurker without much to say or contribute but you folks are entertaining enough to keep me reading.

After i saw Kotaku's expose on NMA and the sheer amount of Fallout 3 hate that exsited here, i had to come check it out. I intially had it in mind to come here and tell you all how wrong you were and that F3 was a great

game, but insteadI chose to listen to what was said. I came to the conclusion that almost none of this hatred was unwaranted, and save for a few select members, most are very reasonable here. I still consider F3 to be a

very fun game and I will always praise it for bringing me into the fallout world. Without fallout 3 i would have never known that Fallout exsisted, and for that i am very appreciative of that game. The reason i stuck around was

to let the hate in. My excitment for fallout 4 is certainly palpable and the skepticism here helps to keep a level head. Also The Dopamine Cleric is so entertaining that i doubt i could ever leave while he exsists :ok:

I lurked for years, while sponging off of the released mods for FO2, made an account a bit before/after, something FO3 was being released, and then lurked for even longer. FO1 is probably the best cRPG I have ever played, and probably my favorite game of all time, followed by FO2, and then AVP2.

I remember you by your avatar. Can't remember your personality though, sorry.

I'm here looking for the holy GECK. Or a water chip, I forget. I'm an irradiated root vegetable, remembering things is not my forte.

I started playing Fallout 2 around 2004. Came here for Killap's unofficial patch and found the page about how to mod the game. So I made a weapons overhaul and released it in 2007 I believe. Then Fallout 3 came out, and the hate sort of kept building from there. I was a real Bethesda-basher once. Now I just take it easy, and help out with the Brahmins and Big Horners.

Been lurking for a good while now, just never had anything useful or interesting to contribute, so I just kept on lurking. Kept coming back because it's the only place I've found with people that share my passion for proper Fallout.

Got introduced to Fallout 1 and 2 in college around the late nineties. A casual gamer at heart, Fallout 1 was my first RPG and still one of my favorites, only barely being edged out by New Vegas.

Having experienced the original Fallouts, I understand the frustration of watching the series be degraded over time in order to appeal to a wider base.

A very long time Lurker of this forum, and wished i could have contirbuted much sooner. This forum is pretty much sensible, and i see alot of intelligent conversations.

Knew Fallout world since around 2001-2004 but mostly stuck to french fallout communities. (my english was much lower)
Apparently, i registered in 2006, mostly to download tons of mods for Fo1-Fo2-FoT which only i tried a few. Also search for help in modding, but mostly ignored the rest of the website.

In 2013-2014, i changed my gaming rig and finally tried Fobos-Fo3-FoNV. The first two were huge disapointment and the third one was a mixed bag, in which the awesomness is mixed with the filler mania. I lurked almost all french/english communities to share opinions about those three games. NMA is not the only community i participate in since that time, but still one of my favourites. The discussions are usually in-depth and troll-free, contrary to some other communities. Although, i regret that you don't do more coverage about the other Fallout-like like Age of Decadence or Underrail, and spend too much time talking about Beth. If Beth doesn't bring satisfaction, look for someone else more skilled.

On the other hand, i mostly stick to a french community which is a bit of the opposite. The conversations rarelly have the same depth, but the community deals with post-apocalyptic indie games almost as much as it deals with the licence new tites. What brought us together was post-apocalyptic worlds and roleplaying games, not just a brand.
