Who wants to be a child killer?

I'm officially out of ideas for today! Child-killer was reported on kotaku, no mention of NMA though!

We didn't find this. The Vault did, and Hellforge apparently, and Kotaku mentions/links to those, as it should.

EDIT:

Actually, the Hellforge page says "Thanks, Ausir!" at the bottom, so I'm pretty sure they got the info from The Vault.

Judging by the time stamps, twas first reported at NMA though... I think :?
Ausir's update on the wiki: 09:41, February 26, 2010 (UTC)
NMA: 9:22
Correct me if I'm wrong
Edit: Nevermind! Original post thanked Ausir :P

Just to go off topic here for a moment: This site seems to have a (unfair yet understandable) reputation for being troll-like in their opinions of fallout 3. From my (god its been over a year now) experience reading these forums, I think it's more a case of always applying a factual analysis to the game's features & canon..which of course annoys "duuuude that game was aweeeeeesome" gamers to no end as nobody likes hearing that something they loved was deficient in so many ways.

While I wouldnt say I disliked fallout 3, (Loved playing it in fact- Though it was my first introduction to the fallout universe & post-apocalyptic genre... have subsequently gone back to play the originals) I can see how it was very primitive in its incorporation of the Special system, and that its characters were shallow.

That said, I think it's been for the best as its served to grow the fanbase. It did get too easy however, even on "hard", but again I think this was to placate the average gamer (found the originals incredibly challenging with all the dials up to the max. Not as hard as the STALKER series though! Me=Masochist Gamer). I'd like to think the writing & voice acting would have been better had the budget been bigger, but hey thats where Obsidian can step up since they dont have to design assets from scratch.

So the point of this post: did you guys like/enjoy fallout 3? Or were the hopes of the next logical evolution of the fallout series shattered to such a degree that you ended up loathing the game?
(if this is too long/off-topic by all means move :) )

Edit: RE: "The 300" picture, never noticed that...I understand!

It's quite an embarrassment to say, but yeah, me too.

At first I thought Fallout 3 was a good game, then I bought up the Fallout Collection and was blown away, and now I have great loathing for what Bethesda has created. I am a rare sub-species of Fallout fan.

Problem with this is that 90% of the new fanbase are the "duuuude that game was aweeeeeesome" gamers and hate everything about the older Fallout games, despite them being the predecessors to their "favourite" game.

The new fanbase is rather ignorant.

This should probably be moved to Fallout 3 discussion/The Vats/wherever the admins want it, it is pretty off-topic.
