The Kingpin guy was pretty much a mobster to begin with, and not a nice person at all. But yeah, the story was a bit more down to earth and just grittier than other games at the time. I mean, you had stuff like Half Life and Unreal at the time, and quite a lot of shooters were similarly colourful and scifi and so on. Blood and gore, fine, yeah, but Kingpin was one of the first to really go all grit and grime.On top if it King Pin also had a plot that was pretty grounded compard to most games that I remember. A guy out on revenge against a mobster or something. While also becoming a mobster in the process.
Also, it had phantastic art direction, but by now everyone here should know that I'm a huge fan of that game.
