Wolna's Fallout Portrait Pack!

I will ask but i do not understand how is possible to make him lookin to the pc!

And i like the brighter face better.
I do not undestand all of you are writing sorry

His eyes are looking somewhere else.

It isn't possible to make him change direction - you need a better image!

Or try to cover all of his eyes with a new pair of sunglasses!

My advice Mr.Wolna:

If you're not able to create Talking Heads by yourself, go and register on few forums (like CG Society) and simply ask people for renders of characters from front view. Show them one of the original Talking Heads (without any background) and tell them the size of the render (in this way you'll avoid scaling of the images). Also ask for renders without AA + alpha channel. Next, point them your thread, here, at NMA. If anyone will do it, give him credits and that's all. This is much better way to get quality stuff than taking random images from the web, IMO.

And probably they can even make an animated head without much problem.

For the record, I really like the symbol tattoo. I think it fits much better than the word "Slaver" or "S" would. Nasty people like slavers would want to maintain their aura of toughness and mystery. Branding the word "Slaver" into somebody's head seems more fitting to be a punishment from somebody opposed - sort of like tattooing "Thief" or "Pirate" on someone.

My men Hope is back, with some new art!

Hope

PS: pls don't slap me for my english

@ Hope

All of the backgrounds I have seen so far are brilliant. Keep up the good work!

@ Mr Wolna

I hope you'll be able to finish your Portrait Pack. I know you have many projects going on at the same time but I think this one could really improve the game (especially if used in combination with Killap's Restoration Pack)

By the way, Mr. Wolna, you didn't send me the portraits you wanted me to animate. If you want, send them to me, I can make the animations... in fact I can make them really animated, with the face slowly changing to angry and all that stuff, tomorrow I will show you what I can do.

Hey Azrael give me this week time and i will send you because i have to change palette and some other things.

Thx for the help!

IT will take some time because my priority goas at an other project in the moment but it wil be done!

When? Well i dont know when its done then its done

Sorry to invade this thread, but I'm having trouble getting a proper palette to work on heads, and you people helping Mr. Wolna are the same people who could help me also. :)

Not using Photoshop, I can't use Continuum's method or the 'default.act' palette that comes with "FrameAnimator" (fantr2.51), nor can I find any program to convert act to pal.

Checking the Vault-Tec wikia page says that 'color.pal' can be extracted from 'master.dat' but I searched through all the art folders with "dat_explorer" and can't find it. There are several other .pal files in Cuts and Interface folders however, but I imagine those are different.

To work around this, I used "frm2bmp1.02" to convert an FRM to 256 color bitmap. I then used MeeSoft "Image Analyzer" to open the .bmp and save the palette as a proper .pal file.

The problem with this is that the palette is being altered somehow. Applying the saved palette back to the bitmap I saved it from is changing the colors.

This image is from a screenshot showing the extracted bitmap with the applied palette opened for editing. Overlay is "FrmEditor" program opened to display the palette. Obviously they are not the same. Since this image is a 256 color .png, they should be identical.

Hi Morticia, the color.pal is in the master.dat root folder. It's the first file you'll see after the different folders when you open master.dat :)

cheers

But PS doesn't recognize this type of .pal file (I can't load it).
