I think that racist shit Materazzi should be penalized. Like, say, not allowed to play football anymore?
Racist?
What?
Where?
An alternative solution is to ship Materazzi off to Gaza or a similar friendly place with Muslim majority. I bet the locals will be *thrilled* to exchange a few words with him. And by words I mean Kalashnykov rounds.
Because he made any form of racist remarks....where?

Some people seem to think that since two teams of "experts" arrived at entirely different results, we now know exactly what Materazzi said, and can therefore move on to moral outrage and punishment fantasies.

The Overseer said:
Stop it, Sander. We all know he had racist intentions.
Of course we do. Cause. Erm...his.....history of....racism? No, wait, that's not right. The claim that one magazine made that he called him a terrorist? No, wait, no-one else suggested that, he denied it himself, Zidane is refusing to talk about it.
Right then, what else.....oh, I know, he has tattoos! Yes, of course, that must be it!

Wouldn't you deny it? And he must've said something pretty hardcore to make Zidane go nuts like that. I mean, the dude barely smiles when he scores a goal.

No. Zidane has done shit like this before, most notably on the World Cup '98. He's got a pretty short temper.

Besides, what with the lip readers saying he said nothing whatsoever with racial connotations, I don't have a clue where you even got the idea that it was racist.
The only reason people think there was any kind of racist remark is not because of Materazzi, but because Zidane is Algerian.
How crooked is that?

Here are various versions of the Zidane-Materazzi incident:

pERsonnaly ithink it irresponsible to make fun such a thing, zidane had ruined his career prospects and could have killed that guy (may sound unlikely but he hit him in one of the vital areas), its not something to laugh at..

1. "Career prospects" is not relevant to someone at the retiring age, which Zidane was.

2. You can not kill someone by headbutting him in the chest.

This was unlikely the case as he had already retired but was still playing in the world cup

You can, collapse of the rip cage can lead to lung punctioan and heart failure.

What was unlikely the case? That he's at retiring age? No, I assure you, that is the case.

Yes. Just like a stubbed toe can cause gangrene to spread to your heart and kill you. Do you have more retarded remarks in your array for us?

This is just subjective, the fact is that he was at retiring age before, retired and then reappeared to lead his side to runers up in the cup and being one of the best players, i doubt we have seen the last of zidane....

You see, lung puntures leading to collapse and thus death are perfectly feasable and do occour, with the force of the headbutt it is reasonable to assume Zidane but the victimes life in considerable danger.

Bullshit.
He never retired before, he stopped playing for the national team for a small time. He never stopped playing professional football before.

Besides that, he has now stopped playing professional football. He will not be playing for any team next year.
Whether or not he may go on to coach is something different, but there are barely any players at all who come back to pro-football after having quit entirely, especially when they're in their mid-thirties.

What the hell, man? That's a link about how a punctured lung can possibly be dangerous, not about how a simple headbutt to the chest can cause the ribcage to collapse.

Hell, if that were true, I'd think there would be a lot more dead boxers.

Bullshit.

He did. It was just called off, like it will be this time...

Although it does not specifically mention headbutts it does detail that chest wounds can be danagerous, Suffer implied they were not by making a ironic comparison with toes stubbing..

When? And don't even dare come up with an irrelevant link again.

His contract with Real Madrid was terminated. He is not looking for a club. He has no contract. He has not been training at a pro level. What gives you the idea that it will be called off?

Again, it mentions that a broken rib might cause a punctured lung. It does not talk about how a headbutt to the chest (the center of the chest, even) could possibly cause a broken rib. Hence, the site is irrelevant.
Now, let's look at a headbutt to the chest. Suppose it could cause a broken rib.
A headbutt could then possibly break a rib, which might possibly puncture a lung, which might possibly lead to a collapsed lung which might possibly be life-threatening, only if untreated.
And that's 'considerable danger'? Fuck, jumping up is more dangerous than that because you might hit your head and go into a coma (which is what has happened on the field, though).
