I've already done that video, Fallout 1 is my favourite.
You're missing out. Wasteland 1 is good. I was saying that if it wasn't for Fallout 4 being such a disappointment to me, I may not have given older games the chance they deserved. Older games never really bothered me but I wasn't particularly finding a reason to play them. Then Fallout 4 happened and I got pissed off and played the older Fallouts. Everyone had told me if I like New Vegas so much more than 3 or 4, I'd probably like the original two, and they were right. I played the Witcher series after that, Wasteland 1 and 2, currently on Planescape: Torment. If it wasn't for Fallout 4 being such a let down, I wouldn't have played 1 & 2 when I did. It may have taken me longer to try them out, glad it worked out the way it did I guess.
I've played other modern games in between all that though. I know Witcher 1-3 and Wasteland 2 is modern but the fact people think Witcher 1 is archaic is hilarious to me.

its not actively ruining the series like 3, 4, & 76. its not a mainline entry nor is it considered canon by
literally anyone so why even acknowledge it?
if we did that there would be nothing to talk about in regards to 3 or 4.
also lol yeah why acknowledge when things are bad? everything is good if you just don't think! lol what good are standards? don't think and don't ask questions.

It's fine to acknowledge when you think something is bad or when you don't like something. But after you acknowledge it you have to reconcile it in your brain and move on. Don't let yourself be consumed by hate forever.
When I saw The Last Jedi I was furious, walked out of the theater cursing about how bad it was, and spent a few weeks complaining to my friends and strangers on the internet. There were only two scenes I liked in the entire movie. I could write endless essays about everything I think that's wrong with it.
But then I decided that I don't care about Disney's idea of canon. I forgot about Episode 8, thought about all the Star Wars stuff that I actually do like, and I felt happy again.
Yet there are people, at this very moment, that are still posting about how much Episode 8 sucked and how Disney has ruined Star Wars. They used to love Star Wars but now they are consumed by misery and hatred.
True, it's technically possible that the fan's rage will cause Disney to step back, change direction, and stop ruining the franchise. Perhaps intense fan backlash against Bethesda will make them also reconsider what they're doing and stop "ruining Fallout". But these are corporations, and I'm too cynical to believe they will change.

I actually quite liked The Last Jedi, and really don't understand why people get sooo mad about it, but I can see if you don't and dislike those films then you can ignore them just as you can focus on the greatness of Fallout 1, 2 and NV instead of Bethesda one's. The ending of Dead Money is an instructive guide to all franchise fans for the inevitable point as to when it stops pleasing you.
Please link the review if you reckon it shall convince me otherwise as to the goodness of that film.

At its core, it probably boils down to the same reasons that people get so mad about Bethesda's Fallout games
I don't think the review would change your mind so I won't link it. I can tell you why I don't like it and you can tell me why you do, and we might even understand each other, but we won't change our own opinions because everyone experiences and enjoys things differently, based on their own perspective.
But yeah you're right, it's better to ignore a franchise when it reaches a point where it stops pleasing you.

she's smiling and even outright says "ooh i like this"
or where rose says "love is how we win, finn" as the rebellion literally dies in the background. the movie is absolutely filled with tonally clashing nonsense.
also it ruins luke, rey, and leia all in one movie. cool beans.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the kind of movie that sinks you into a deep depression as you question how such an abomination could possibly be made. The list of things the movie does wrong is innumerable. It's a movie made by morons for morons, and whoever bought a ticket to this excuse of a movie should feel ashamed and cast himself from his garret window into the squalid street below (and that includes me, see you assholes later).
PS: If you think Star Wars: The Last Jedi (unfortunately not the last movie in this shitty franchise) is good, you either have terribly low standards or just really bad taste for movies. Fight me bitches.

That's not th reason, or satisfactory course.
The suggestion is akin to "stay out of the river, if you don't enjoy tasting the contaminants". Bethesda has polluted the IP. Walking away from that (without comment) is letting them destroy good works, and get away with it; to keep their smug satisfaction unprotested. It's defacing a purchased work of art—and while the artists still live yet, and would have gladly continued working on it.
There are two images that I am reminded of whenever I recall their bungling defacement of the IP...and those are these:

defaced by a couple of wealthy hooligans, for shock value, and whatever money they could get out of it... and that's about par with my estimation of Bethesda's —improvement— of the Fallout series, and I take it with the same personal resentment.
In both cases, the perpetrators should not have been allowed to get away with it, as the damage cannot be undone.
In Fallout's case, the blame is squarely on Interplay IMO. This was predictable, and preventable.

As you wish. Maybe I'll rewatch it and see how horrible it is. I've tried before, I really don't see it. I'm not saying it's perfect, but it isn't an abomination. Kinda feel like 1. It wasn't what people had in their minds to happen and 2. The internet whipped everyone up into a frenzy, turning mild dislike into a fury. Though if you hated it at the point of leaving the cinema, then I guess that does not apply to you. I saw it at the premiere location in London (same cinema) and most people came out having enjoyed it. (I know, casuals like Bethesda Fallout too)
I dunno. Bethesdas vision of Fallout is in jarring contrast to Tim Cain's.
I fail to honestly see how The Last Jedi contradicts the original star wars message, except to go in a different and interesting direction. Before anyone says, I've seen all the films, hate the prequels, played the Jedi Knight and Kotor games. I read the original saga of Jacen Solo etc.
The best thing to be ever done with Star Wars in my opinion was Kotor 2, and The Last Jedi having something new in that vein with tiny bit of grey area in that universe was a huge plus for me, especially having followed a standard star wars plot (force awakens or Kotor 1). I enjoyed it for it's willingness to try something different.
If you didn't like that direction, fair enough. But that does not have to mean that it's the end of the world.
Also, I don't care for nitpicks , anything can be nitpicked before anyone gives me a list. And yes, I know the finn and rose bit was a wasted part, before anyone tells me, as well as there being other flaws. I know it isn't perfect.

The problem with the new trilogy is that they vomited out Episode 7 as a recycled version of Episode 4. Then they give creative control of Episode 8 to somebody else, and he asks for the script notes on what direction the story is supposed to go in. They tell him they had nothing planned, nothing at all in mind. He's got a blank slate to do whatever he wants with. This alone says everything that needs to be said about Disney's mentality toward Star Wars. They made the first installment of a trilogy without having even the slightest idea of where that trilogy was supposed to go.

no you're misunderstanding. its not about "i need blood and gore because im edgy"
its that lightsabers don't seem to do much damage at all and only ever remove limbs when the script calls for it. look at the throne room fight. on top of having the worst choreography in recent memory not single person loses a limb. there's a point where rey literally swings her saber through someones neck and he just falls over, head intact.
well to be fair the star wars fanbase as a whole is pretty retarded. i mean it took literally four movies before enough people realized "wow these kinda suck huh"? for disney to be like "oh shit".
still i'm telling ya just do another reboot and put Dave Filoni in charge this time!
