A cloth map ? What cloth map ?
Bought a brand new big boxed Arcanum and there was no cloth map with it  ...What's this cloth map ?!

Yeah, that was my reaction too when I first heard about it, and I only believed it when I saw that auction on Ebay.
Apparently there are some versions that come with a cloth map - a true collector's item, I'd say.

There are different versions ,some are in a normal dvd case, some have a paper map and some have nothing.
but this cloth map was even new to me,and since it was my Dream to have Arcanum on my collection and i had been searching it for a long time ,i just couldn't let it get away !
But generally ,when you are collecting games you should have this old saying in Mind : "You can have em all !"
there are also a fuckload of things i want to have on my collection but i just can't buy all of them unless i win a lotto or somthing like that !

take these two for example :
1.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=200115282409&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=010
2.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=200115282943&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=010

only god knows how bad i want these two, they are not just collectors item ...they are my childhood memories !

God...I had "Shadow of the Beast" on Master System 2. I was probably seven at the time. It used to give me terrible, TERRIBLE, nightmares. I was really scared to play it but I still managed to beat it ! Never played "Shadow of the Beast II" though.

Shit dude...I'm just glad my parents didn't buy me that game at the time. I would certainly have been traumatized : it's so much worse than the first one !

I was more into Global Gladiators. I believe I still have my Master System 2 copy of that game. Does anyone remember Global Gladiators ? Weren't they literally the coolest ?

No pictures, as I recently packed it all away in the garage. My wife and I are house shopping and getting read for a move.

But, I've got quite a bit of old gaming paraphenelia in my collection.

Many PC Games & Computer Gaming World Magazines, including one with a Fallout preview.
A bunch of old, unorganized and copied floppies from the 80's that probably have a bunch of good games on them.

I'm sure I'm leaving a bunch of stuff off...I've got way too much, as my wife would say.

Doesen't ring any bell for me .i didn't have a master system.i playe SoB on Amiga 500.

Only a minor curse. ;)

Just out of curiosity, though, how much was your maximum bid? Because I bid and I bid and I bid (at least you can curse me too for raising the price) and I couldn't outbid you. Of course, I couldn't go too far because of some stupid sense of <strike>money</strike>self-preservation.

At least I got In Cold Blood for $9(including shipping), a game I couldn't find anywhere - and I mean anywhere.

Well, enjoy it, man! It's a great item!

somewhere around 50 bucks i think !
I just couldn't let that arcanum copy go away ! The Gods themselves wouldn't forgive me if i had let that copy go Away !

Hello all,

I didn't realise that Amiga games were also allowed, over the last couple of years I have also collected some of the Amiga games I really liked and a couple I really wanted to own.

James Pond 1,2, and 3 (not that Aquatic Games thing)
Starflight 1 and 2
K240 and Utopia (though that game's box was torn apart in the mail so I keep the discs and manual in the K240 box)
Cannon Fodder
Mega Lo Mania
Walker
Captive
Liberation (disc and CD32 version)
Dragon Wars
Impossible Mission 2025 (disc and CD32 version)
Zeewolf
Apocalypse
Fantastic Voyage
Fire Force (disc and CD32 version)

I have been wanting to get my hands on the Shadow of the Beast games but they always end up to expensive.
When you see all the gory details and the half magic/half science background I really think this could have made a cool RPG world concept.

Even the main character would be interesting enough; a once normal human turned into the Beast Messenger.

It's a very impressive collection. Seeing it makes me miss the good old times Sad .

Well nostalgia isn't that all great, I recently replayed some of my most favorite games from way back and I realise that they are now pretty crappy.
Not as fun anymore as in my memories.

Jesus Christ, allot of folk here have some antiques indeed. Here I thought I was the collector... Many have seen my pictures in the "Post a picture of yourself" thread where I included my box collection.

Here are the boxes from those photos as well as all of my other antiques; many of which I WISH I still had the boxes to.

Yes there are several Roger Wilco CD's there... I was and am a huge fan. Unfortunately, the images were condensed so its difficult to determine what I have.

Robot City (frackin' great game based off the same story iRobot was)
Star Trek 25th Anniversary & A Final Unity & Harbinger (DS9's best and only game?)
Terminator 2029
Inca II (another great game)
SimCity2000 (not that old)
Project Raven (I NEVER got this to play properly on any of my PCs!)
Doom2
Mega Race 1 (yes, the original, the awesomest racing game ever)
And yes, that Quest for Glory copy is in its original shrink wrap

There were two other Star Trek Deep Space Nine games.

The Fallen, a pretty fun 3rd Person shooter using the Unreal tournament engine.

And Dominion Wars, a rather bad strategy game I have heard which pits you in command of one of four factions.

Come to think of it... I own a copy of Dominion Wars... Where the heck did that go? I didn't think it to be that bad. It was playable. I enjoyed making fleets of Defiants!

Here's a summary of my list (what I think is the rarest):

(PC)

We have of course Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout: Tactics

Oddworld, Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus (plus Munch's Oddysee, but it did as much for the Oddworld franchise as Fallout 3 will do for the Fallout franchise)

I have a copy of "Redneck Rampage" (hilarious FPS)

Tribal Rage (post-apocalyptic real time strategy game)

Jade Empire Special Edition

Brute Force

The original Age of Empires, AoE 2 and AoE 3

Hearts of Iron 1, 2 Doomsday (with Total Realism Mod)

Blitzkrieg and Blitzkrieg "Rolling Thunder"

Star Wars: "Galactic Battleground"

(All Nintendo Platforms)

Zelda, A Link to the Past

The original NES Zelda (gold cartridge)

Super Mario RPG (a little known gem in that overused franchise)

Super Mario 1, 2, 3 Super Mario World

All the Donkey Kongs except for the 3D ripoff on Nintendo 64

(Playstation)

Crash Bandicoot 1,2,3

FFVII

(XBox)

Beyond Good and Evil

Jade Empire

Constantine

Dark Watch

Legacy of Kain: Defiance

Star Wars: Republic Commando

Stubbs the Zombie

Drat, I used to own "Redneck Rampage" But I got rid of it.

Please oh please, don't let Cain return that as some undead monstrosity.

Indeed there was 'The Fallen'. Not just the best DS9 game, but probably one of the best Star Trek games ever.
