Strange people. I have three icons on my desktop (one of which is somewhat superfluous) and five in my "Quick Launch" toolbar. Do you really use all those on a regular basis?

 

I use many icons on my desktop - the rest are mainly because firefox automatically downloads to my desktop and I can't be bothered to delete things. I do a clean up everynow and again...

Most of the stuff on my desktop is something I use regularily. Some things are a bit less useful.

I use the QuickLaunch bar for things I need regularily or want to have access to without going through Start Menu hell.

My previous desktop wallpaper used to be the Smurfs Hardcore teaser pic (I think someone posted about it in the WB "Lunatics" Looney Toons thread), which is why that file is still on my desktop.
I clean the desktop up every now and then (I just deleted the Firefox 1.0.2 installer), but generally it doesn't need much tidying because most of the stuff on it has a reason to be there (although Windows thinks different -- as usual).

 

I got tired of my typical WIndows Xp silver theme, so i did some redecorating:

Anyway, it's a screenshot from Arcanum. When you do the Pickpocket Master quest your character has to run naked through the streets of Tarant and then them Tarantians call you a pervert and stuff. Thought it was funny, since I always use my own name when playing games.

 

Not to mention "smurfs_hardcore.jpg" on the desktop.
