cropped Luke's entrance (post was over the edge anyway, but i want zombies goddamn it! and yes, i know: 'be careful what you wish for').

if anyone wants to post about what happens before he enters, just post:

xxx

*what luke says*

xxx

you get the idea. doesnt have to be all chronological

Welcome aboard, Lt. Col. Gonzalez and Specialist (if you decide to join)! I don't mind slowing down, and I've done just about all I can until the next update anyway. I noticed that Stompie was online briefly yesterday, but he hasn't posted in some time.

As for zombies, I suspect that's what those people coming down I-80 are (though our characters don't know this yet, of course).

Welcome potential new players! :D Grab some chars and have some fun!
As for those people on the highway: is Tisha going to want to get so footage of them? If so she'll end up with the wrong end of the stick as the news man/lady/person is in the first line, then the camera man and behind all the cannon fodder, er, I mean behind the news crew, is where the sound guy belongs, ready to run screaming like a little girl as his companions are eaten by the vicious zombies. At least that's how I see it ... :look:
Now, seriously, what is the news crew going to do? Stop and take pretty pictures or run the ************* over with the van?

Anticipate- Tisha tries to get an interview. But are these zombies slow movers or fast movers?

Also Luke- keep an eye on the highway... The zombies are heading in your direction.

Also Alex's run will lead to some surprises.

And then there is the helicopter rescue to consider.

More coming....

Also Alex's run will lead to some surprises.
I always said jogging was bad for one's health....

But are these zombies slow movers or fast movers?
How fast do fast movers... move? I hope they don't run faster then when they were alive....
So welsh how many kind of zombies are there? So far I only know the standard slow moving carcases that keep moaning "Braaains" or something. Care to make a small list with them?
Forgive my ignorance on the subject....

thats for him to know & for us to find out.

(but his intro gave a bunch away dude, read it again)

Well it looks like Thomas is going to face the music soon so I was wondering how does combat works? I've been reading some D&D campaigns recently and I was wondering if the fights here are going to work like that or differently.
Are we going to have clearly defined rounds? Are we going to roll initiative, reflex saves, will saves and all that?
I just want to know what to expect it it comes down to fighting... Does anybody know what the damage of the contraption with the microphone that Thomas is holding would be? Does the club skill work for that? :look: What? Just being thorough...

probably only rolls for hit/miss & then roll for damage. dont worry, welsh will say what you need to do.

perhaps some idea & luck rolls to save yer ass if it needs savin'.

remember that thinking on your feet is more likely to save your ass in CoC-ish environments than combat .

Hey guys, Sorry I dissapeared, (again) for (another) week. I didnt think that that would happen, but - I fell behind, and beyond responding to welshes messages, I was unable to read, nor post. I will be able to post more durring the weekends, and some, durring the week.

Stompie- can you post at least once every three days and keep up on what's going on with the other players? Otherwise you'd be slowing down the game.

Ok, we can look forward to both Specialist and Zoe coming to join us in the future.

Folks, don't feel compelled to play other characters - either PCs or NPCs. Key here is more about your choices and behaviors and less about your ability to construct convincing characters or dialogue. This is very much a "what are you doing" kind of game- based on choices more than narrative presentation.

In the past I have pushed for better writing- in a cooperative novel mode. This is not that style. Rather this is about your ability to work together and overcome the obstacles presented.

THat said, I hope I am not being too restrictive. The idea is to keep most of the control of events on the Keeper- thus maintain your character's jeopardy and existential danger- and thus keep the story exciting.

If you control all the actions, things would get boring. Rather, you are not in control- this should be more like an amusement park ride where you don't know what to expect than the planning and development of a story.

Hope you are enjoying it.

Zoe? ze Zoe? the good ol' Zoe?

whohoo

/dance

(Spec is good too ofc, but Zoe we havent seen in a decade!)

Sounds great! The game is a lot of fun so far, and more players will make it better.

I think Jim Kerr should be the one to use Fast-Talk to convince Erica Spears to fly to the T-Bone (or, failing that, the nearby university) - after she gets more fuel, of course. I didn't think I should roll for him, though. One of the new players will probably pick him up.

Mr. Handy- If you want to roll for Jim Kerr fine, or if any of the PCs do, the same. Just post up. This is kind of an important role and can make a big difference for the game's progress.

I am also against further delay.

Ok welsh, though - I will be out of commission, again, until friday of this week. I am going to my great grandfather's burial, In southern California. So I will post before hand though.

I am sorry for slowing the pace of the RP, and I will keep up.

Sorry to hear about your great grandfather's passing Stompie.

new players should be joining pretty soon.

Zoe and Gonzales have both selected characters. I have to dig up the files with the "secrets" of these characters.

In the interim, Mr. handy, can try to talk Erica Spears into flying closer.

Someone might talk the State Trooper out of getting into a bit of trouble or perhaps even cooperating in this effort. Perhaps the Trooper can get to Spears and help secure the helicopter? Or provide some local recon to the Southeast?

I need to get some sleep, but I should be able to post tomorrow night. I'll write for Jim Kerr talking to Erica Spears then too if nobody else has by then.
