Guys, sory to keep you waiting but I have a killer cold. Between the fever and the antibiotics I'm dizzy as hell. I'll post the roll for Thomas this evening.

I don't have much time to post today, tomorrow I'll get started and make my first post using all the characters, after that there should be no further complications.

Sorry to hear about your great grandfather's passing Stompie.

Thanks Welsh.

I found an internet connection, and Posted for Alex and Flip. Hopefully next post will include all three of my cherecters. I have yet to post for Redcrow. Please forgive typos.

Someone please play the person talking to State Trooper Joe, who is currently Southeast of Kimball.

Also, Colds and Gonzales- we are waiting for your rolls.

Roll Dexterity out of 20 to see if you make it to the van without tripping or getting caught by Zombies.

Roll Dodge out of 100 to see if you avoid getting grabbed by zombies.

Once you have made those rolls let me roll for the zombies and then we'll see what happens next.

Luke, observing this, (roll psychology).
i cant find his psych skill. he also has 2 unaccounted skills btw: 30 & 70 are without designation in his char sheet.

Skills- Anthropology 20%, Bargain 60%, Botany 25%, Camouflage 76%, Climb 45%, Dodge 60%, First Aid 55%, Hide 70%, Jump 45%, Linguist 50%, Listen 65%, Make Maps 40%, 30%, English 40%, Spanish 40%, Ride 65%, Sneak 40%, Spot Hidden 55%, Swim 35%, Throw 30%, 70%, Treat disease 35%, Treat poison 40%, Zoology 45%.

anyhow, rolled it anyway, rolled 16 out of 1d100. i'm starting to think both my dice & invisible castle are rigged... my successful roll percentage is 'out there'.

Regrets but 16 is a failed score. Your character only has a 5% base chance with Psychology.

The missing scores are 30% for Natural History and 70% for Track. Sorry for not including.

no skin off my back, pal. ;)

it's about time i fail some rolls. but you got to admit, 16 is a damn nice & reasonable roll. :P

Note to the players near the meteorite-

THe order of the cars is Felice's Porsche is closest to the meteorite on the dirt road.

Alex is lieing on the ground about 20 yards away and quickly disappearing behind the strange cloud.

Parked behind Felice is Michael's car.

Parked behind Michael's car is the Latham car.

Now it might be possible to go forward down the road, but it is quite impossible to go backwards as the Latham car is in the road. You can also try driving around, but that would require you getting off the road.

The road is a simple dirt and gravel route that is a little wider than one car's width (or about the width of a diesel truck). Essentially if someone is coming the other way, you have to pull over onto the shoulder and let them pass you.

invisiblecastle.com is down temporarily. When it comes back up, you can see the rolls again.

Yeah, I am having problems with Invisible Castle as well. A pity.

Ah!!!
One person brought down by giant monster mosquitos from outer space.

Another is chased into a news van that is being beseiged by the living dead

Another discovers a living corpse under a ruined Chevy

Another is watching cities in Asia go up in smoke

Another person is flatlining on the floor of a diner...

Isn't this just wonderful!

ssshhhhhht! you're enjoying this too much & scaring the kids!

Hey guys - I might not be able to post, on saturday - Rugby tournament - good stuff, good stuff. I don't know if I will be able to find my way to a computer. Just figured that i would do the courtious thing, and give you forewarning.

Thanks for the warning Stompie.

I am also going away on vacation, probably around August 2 for about 2 weeks.

Either someone takes over keeping or you'll all be zombie denied for about two weeks.

Ah a problem with Invisible castle-

Sometimes when you hit the links you have been kind enough to add, Invisible castle rerolls the roll for you- thus the scores come up different. For example see-

http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?u=Felice&limit=on

For the many times that Felice has gone nuts watching Alex die.

So again, please post your score.

But Invisible castle also keeps a record of socres. This is important for on this record your characters may get score improvements.

Willie pulls an amazing escape!!! Lucky too.

But Felice looks doomed as the creature breaks through the rear window of her Porsche! If she dies, Micheal is in a lot of trouble because his car is caught between hers and the Lathams!

Mitchell has done the smart thing in the Junkyard.... run like hell!

Note to all Haussman has gone temporarily insane and has a badly broken arm.

Ah... the chaos! The chaos!

@ Zoe: crop links if they're too long. don't let them break the forum layout in the icc thread, please.

Suaside, I don’t mind you rolling freehand, but it will be easier to award experience if you use Invisible Castle.
what does rolling by hand have to see with ease of awarding xp for you? if you dont trust me to roll by hand just say so.

Luke takes aim and fires at Horst, and it is a lucky for Haussmann that the shot hits Horst in the head.
while it's indeed lucky for the doc that Luke scores a headshot, shouldn't the luck roll be by Luke, since it's his shot, hence his luck & skill that matters for hitting the head or not? (not to mention Luke has imba luck. i think i'll take em to vegas to play the slots when this is over)

whats your logic behind it?

Yes! I approve of this!

Ah.. because I know that you are cut-throat lier, cheater at games, thief of children's candy, abuser of the naive, defiler of young virgins, that your reputation is that of a loathsome cur who spends his happy moments plotting evil, that your breath smells of a dead rat and you give off a noisome odor!

No... The reason why is something Seb taught me at Play@yog-sothoth.com. WHen this pit of play is finished players can improve scores. The way to improve the scores is to figure out which skills were used. Skills used are then calculated by a roll of the dice. If the roll of the dice is above your current score, you can improve the skill for a few points. If not you get nada.

(Suaside- you are so sensitive.....)

One of the virtues of Invisible Castle is that you can keep a record of the scores which makes this bit of accounting much easier.

This is all about making my job easier.

Of course, as Keeper I can make my job even easier by creating greater misfortune and thus fewer players, but that would make me akin to...

Well, you didn't specify exactly what you were aiming at with Horst. You could have been going for a body shot, and had that happened... well Horst might have gotten another bite at Hausmann. This would have been very bad for her.

Since Luke didn't specify and since Haussman was the one in mortal jeopardy, she's really lucky that the shot hit what it did. Since Luke didn't really have anything to lose (except the possibility that Horst would have turned on him eventually- but only after eating Hausmann or the next closest person). I could have rolled this differently of course, calculating the percent chance that the bullet hit the head and not the body, but I would rather not do that. At this point Hausmann (now psychology and physically scarred) should survive a bit longer at least.

Also note that Trooper Erica Spears is going to be arriving (if she has enough fuel) in Brownson pretty soon. You may need to plan an operation to get to her and secure the helicopter.
