I agree completely.
Walking into the power armor. Don't deny it, having the power armor totally envelope you is totally badass.
The power armor HUD was pretty cool.
The little mini-games in the Pip-Boy. (gimmicky but it was neat)
Elder Maxson's coat looks sick.
I liked the Minutemen, minus Garvey's insistence to help out settlements.
I really like Nick Valentine and Dogmeat in terms of companions.
Far Harbor was alright.
Diamond City was a great idea but half-assed.
Yeah, unpopular opinion: I actually like Fallout 4. (though it's my least favorite of the Fallout series)
The 25-30 GB I reclaimed on my HDD after deleting the game and all the save files.
The fact that meshes now cast shadows is good, I guess...
Piper giving your character the nickname Blue. Its a nice little touch.
Even though I didn't use it past the intro, power armor actually felt like a suit of power armor instead of regular armor.
Seriously tho. The character creation is really good, at least the toolset is really good, if they had better art assets it would be phenomenal. Right after you are done with Character creation it all goes downhill fast.
Even that "nice little touch" may be "referenced" from FNV mods: The mod called niner called the courier as "Six".............
My favourite part was the bazillion gigabytes I saved by not installing it.
The 120 bucks I saved not buying it.
And the week+ of fun I had going back to New Vegas with some new mods.
I haven't played NV in the longest time. Playing any fallout game has just felt daunting recently.
IMO Fallout 1-2 has the most replayability, but with mods, NV is THE SHIT.
Powered Power armour mod for it basically makes powerarmour into Fallout 4's, but not shit.
It also came out long before F4 was but a lump in Todd's bowel.
It also doesn't break lore because it understands that different power armours use different power methods, different servos/hydraulics, and makes heat an issue (Heat being an issue all powered devices has)
Or even slapping DUST on for a while, it's a very cool overhaul if you like/stand STALKER-y gameplay.
Well let's see...
Going through Kellog's brain was... alright
The companion affinity system was cool
The Power Armor system was an improvement
The concept art was pretty cool
The new color scheme is nice
Vault 81 was cool and yeah, other than that there's nothing else I can really say that I liked about Fallout 4.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.
Picking 100 locks to make a bunch of companions orgasm isn't cool...
Nor is beating up dogs, then healing them, to make said companions orgasm.
Lol some of things to get likes are so dumb. It should of just been made simpler.
Done of time spent with companion and also some dialogue ? Like WTF
I think time spent with a companion, and maybe some modifiers based on what they like would make sense.
I mean, I don't think a supermutant would care if you do something sneaky, they just want to bust people's heads in, but he'd probably appreciate you bashing a raider to death with your bare hands like a mutant beastie.
The system for companions is dumb and overly simplistic already. The fact that it barely works and the companion quests being so barebones just makes it feel put together at the last second. I have seen New Vegas companion mods that are much better put together and at least those end up with on screen fucking.
And don't get me started with the "Buff" you get for sleeping in a matress when your companion is on the same cell.
Wait, you get a buff if you sleep with a companion?
What is that implying?...
That blowing your load on Hancock's chest gets you a boost to how fast you learn stuff.
