Fallout: New Orleans at E3 this year?

Bethesda opened up a second studio didn't they? I suppose they gotta work on something.
Could also be TESO expansion.
Or DLC for other series that they publish.

I doubt Obsidian will do a game. Aren't they still busy with the tank MMO? (They're done with POE's expansion packs though)

Besides, they really shouldn't accept the same kind of shitty deal as before by Bethesda. The guy in the video goes "oh but they can do it, just look at FNV!" like, yeah, they could. But it was a shitty deal and the game came out rushed as fuck. It's amazing what they were able to do with just a year and a half worth of development time but the game would have been even way way better with like half a year or another year to really bring out their full vision. Why accept the same kind of shitty deal?

It's a long shot but in case an Obsidian dev or whatever manages to stumble upon here: For the love of all-mighty Cthulhu just do another kickstarter! Create a spiritual successor to Fallout if you want to work on it so much. Bethesda's butchered Fallout and there's nothing to salvage because whatever you do can be undone on a whim by those incompetent buffoons. Just create your own thing. You don't need Bethesda and you don't need Fallout.

I would give the likelihood of another Obsidian Fallout at slim to none. Bethesda has opened a second studio in Montreal and I don't see them outsourcing to another developer to show them up once again. I'd say it's more likely we get a Fallout MMO similar to ESO before we see another Obsidian Fallout.

I know that they are going to make their own spinoffs :whatever: ...
But let's just have a bit of hope for our dear franchise to be saved, reincarnate or at least die with dignity. ALL HAIL CHRIST AVELLONE :revolution:

If this is referring to that tweet by John Sawyer with the Louisiana brochures, he already confirmed a while back those have nothing to do with Fallout unfortunately. More than likely they have to do with a new Vampire: The Masquerade game, which I'm just as excited for.

It can't be saved.
You don't go back from ghoul kids locked in a fridge for 200 years and ancient alien cities that has fashionable magic helmets.

Your icon gets scarier and scarier as the days go on.

At the same time though, "We were going full speed ahead... but facing backwards the whole time." I think of Obsidian was allowed to make the next installment we'd get a damn good game. AS LONG AS Obsidian's allowed to make the game the way they want without Bethesda's "creative input". At the same time, maybe you're right and the series is offcially dead. Still, I'd like to think, if anyone could save the series it's Obsidian. After all, they do have the creator of the original 2 Fallout games, Tim Cain, on board now.

I'd really prefer Bethesda not touch such an interesting location as New Orleans. If they must keep making "Fallout" games at least stay on the northern East Coast, the less land their terrible lore takes up the better. Bad enough Virginia and D.C are screwed up because of Fallout 3.

I'm one who believes Bethesda must have understood at this point they've killed Fallout. Todd and Emil at least deep down both know it. Hopefully, if they let someone else make the next Fallout, regardless of whether that someone else is Obsidian, Bethesda swallow their pride in Fallout 4, and give them free reign over pretty much everything, including mechanics, namely the character system, and story. We all know those are necessary conditions to the revival of the series.

I doubt Bethesda sees the need for a "revival". Metacritic user score aside, this game has been given praise by most major gaming news/review outlets, and the people who they are trying to sell to only really check those sites anyway (if at all). Not to mention it sold a metric fuckton of copies.

Are Obsidian working on anything right now? They're rumored to be making a Vampire The Masquerade game and, they've been working on Armoured warfare for a while, but is there anything that is officially stopping them from making a Fallout game?
Either way the video seems like nothing more than wishful thinking, Fallout 4 only released 111 days ago, DLC isn't even out yet.

For those of you saying Bethesda just opened up their shiny new studio, I remember hearing that it was going to focus on mobile games, most likely, seeing as Fallout Shelter is a cash cow. So, that being said, an Obsidian spinoff is not likely to be revealed so soon, at the very least. I'm still hopeful though!

Obsidian almost went bankrupt after Fallout New Vegas. They had to rely on a kickstarter to keep their company going. I hope they never have to work with Bethesda again.

Fallout is dead. Long live Fallout.

I don't see them opening a completely new studio in another country to simply work on mobile games. The last interview I read had BGS working on 3 new IP's, so I just don't see any reason for them to hand this off to anyone not in house. Obsidian doesn't need Bethesda, we as fans of the Fallout series need Obsidian to need Bethesda.

I say someone opens up a new thread about the speculation of these new "IPs".
Well since they have a hard on for Lovecraftian, I call some sort of Lovecraftian based game.

I seriously hope Obsidian isn't doing another V:TM game. At the suggestion of the people in the podcast, I tried the game and it... er... It wasn't very good. I got annoyed just doing the tutorial. It was that bad. If Obsidian is doing another game, I really hope it's a new Fallout game in the vein of New Vegas. The problem for me is that I have very specific tastes, meaning that if Fallout goes back to an isometric style or goes full on beth crazy, I'm kinda screwed.

I hear rumours of a HD Remaster to Fallout 3. If this is true, Fallout will officially be dead to me.
(It's fun how cynical this forum has made me become, of maybe that's just age).
