Ohhh man, that's cheating, you can't just put games from the same series in the same spot on your list (like you did with Fallout and Resident Evil). You have to choose out of Fallout 1,2 and Tactics should be in that slot :P
And you also have to choose between Resident Evil 2 and 4 as to which will occupy that slot :P

I take it you can place entire series, as some other posters have done.
That makes things so much easier! :D

These were all released on the PC, and are not ranked. The numbers are merely for convenience

    1: Blood
    > Only the first game. Blood II was a disappointment. I really hope monolith will revive this franchise

2: Duke Nukem (Duke 1, Duke 2, Duke 3d, and Manhattan Project)
    > I love the Duke Nukem games. Hell, I even played the pre-Duke 3d platformers, and I have fond memories of them. DNF however...

    3: Fallout (1,2, FNV)
    > Personally, I preferred 1 to 2, but 2 was still enjoyable. FNV is probably the most replayed game on my computer.

    4: Stalker
    > Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat, to be exact. Clear Sky...let's say we didn't get along.

    5: Deus Ex
    > Both DEHR and DE are excellent games, and I enjoyed them tremendously

    6: System Shock 2
    > Its SS2, what is there to say :)

    7: Bloodrayne (1 and 2)
    > I love the Bloodrayne games. I find the games to be an enjoyable action filled romp, en par with Duke 3d and the Evil Dead movies. Like Blood, I hope TRI will revive the franchise one day. Properly.

    8: Doom
    > The great grand daddy of shooters. They don't make them like they used to.

    9: The Darkness II
    > Fairly fun shooter, and the story isn't that bad either. A nice change from the usual breed of FPS in this age

    10: XCOM (EU and APOC)
    > I have to say, I think I enjoyed the new game and Apocalypse more than the old ones. Sure, the strategy layer in XCOM: EU is lacking, but the Tactical layer is fluid and fast paced.
Apocalypse is a blast, and is a really unique game, even by XCOM standards.

Well, crap, still ran out of space.

Ok, quick honorable mentions...*takes a deep breath*

Had to make sure I hadn't allready replied here
In the order of listing them from my desktop and or memory :0

    1. Civ 3 and 4. Both have their strengths and flaws. I tend to prefer 3, while I got 4 installed.
    2. SimCity 4, the last one before the series got lame.
    3. Fallout + FO2
    4. Fallout 3, I'm listing it separately, cus it should be.
    5. Fallout Tactics, I'm fearing the day when I am finally sick of this game.
    6. Mount & Blade (Warband)
    7. Europa Universalis III (it can get monotonous, and I haven't played it in half a year)
    8. Hearts of Iron II (tried the 3rd, but didn't like it, plus it really snailed on my computer :( )
    9. GTA # (a must. unfortunately, I don't have it :( I really liked GTA4, and all the rage against it still baffles me)
    10. Morrowind. I actually uninstalled Oblivion, so I could have room to re-install Morrowind. With the Tamriel Rebuilt project still going strong, this game will only keep expanding!

Other games have amused me in many nice ways, but I've allready pushed the limits of the list.
    I need a bigger, better computer :I

My 10 favorites, in no particular order:

    Fallout
    Fallout 2
    Fallout: New Vegas
    Jagged Alliance
    Jagged Alliance 2
    Baldur's Gate
    Baldur's Gate 2
    UFO: Enemy Unknown
    F-22 Total Air War
    Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis

Come to think of it, interesting how no "more recent" games (released in about the last decade) make my list.

Oh.......... God. I can still remember the years- literal years -of frustration that game caused me. The summers filled with anger as I desperately tried to beat a tournament track, or make it to that next Zone only to blow up and start all over. Again. And again. And again. And again... The horror. The absolute HORROR!

Well I'd say *begrudgingly* that it's indeed what's so great about it. WipEout HD was just one of those games I never "loved" but in retrospect I praised highly for how unforgiving it was. If I weren't playing the game for PS3 Trophies, then all that time spent trying to beat a track, only to get smacked around, would have been "replay value", versus a game that just lets you win without much challenge and you just put down to collect dust for the rest of its existence after maybe 10 hours clocked. I really, REALLY despised WOHD while I played it, but that can mostly be attributed to racing games just aren't my cup of tea. I will never ever say that it was a "bad" game by any measure, though. Definitely one of the greatest. =)
