1) New Vegas 2) Super Metroid. Better then Symphony Of The Night, haters gonna hate. 3) Mass Effect 1 4) Pokemon Metagame gen V to VI. maybe I'll remove this from the list in the future. Playing this game online has hurt my health. I know, I'm an idiot. 5) Starcraft (affective memory, I can not touch any RST nowadays. Tried many times start Wings, but I never be able to finish) Last 5 don´t have order Commandos 2 Halo 2. Or 3. Or Reach. I can not decide which one I like best. Shinobi III Jedi Outcast Deus Ex: HR. Darn it! These lists style posts always get me Like when someone asks who is your favorite rapper, etc. I always fall for those. Anyways, check it out. By the way, I played #4 at my break at a periodontal clinic in Hawaii. Best way to kill time at a clinic. 1. Scarface (Xbox) 2. GTA II (PC) 3. Outrun (SEGA) 4. NHL 97 (PC) 5. Art of Fighting (Neo Geo) 6. Kings Quest 6 (PC) 7. Alone In The Dark (PC) 8. Contra (Pegasus) 9. World of Heroes (Arcade / NEO GEO) 10. Street Fighter 2 (Any console. Last played on Nintendo Switch). What I'm really digging is a lot of clinics especially dentists now have video games in their office. Pretty awesome if you ask me.
1. Chuckie Egg 2. Arcanum 3. Planescape: Torment 4. Fallout 5. Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines 6. Fallout 2 7. Fallout Resurrection 8. SmashTV 9. Sorcery Plus 10. Jacaranda Jim From what I've seen, I strongly suspect Fallout Nevada belongs on here too - but I haven't played it yet. (Proper Fallouts come along so rarely, I'm taking my time replaying the hell out of Resurrection, in the hope that by the time I've moved on to and finished Nevada, I'll have Mutants Rising or Sonora waiting).
How many people here know what SmashTV is? (I've played it recently, and am just curious who else —if any— has the slightest recognition of the name?) _____ Homeworld:Cataclysm Myth 2 Fallout Disciples 2 DOW: Dark Crusade Baldur's Gate 2 The Witcher Bubble Bobble Black Tiger Willow
I know this is an RPG forum with pretty niche tastes, but SmashTV is by far the most mainstream/least obscure game on the list. I'd be surprised if most people didn't know it. Oh, I remember that. It took four weeks pocket money for me to save up for that on cassette. I bought it from the local video shop, who had a small collection of games beside the till. I got it home, put it in the tape drive and waited eagerly. I finished school, went to college then university, got married, had a child, and retired from work, and finally it finished loading (I exaggerate, but only slightly - tapes took forever to load). And then I discovered Willow had never been released on the Amstrad CPC. I'd bought a completely different, and utterly terrible game with a similar title: This was the best part of thirty years ago, and I'm still bitter.
In this case it's a different Willow. Possibly different SmashTV? (There was an SNES version.) Spoiler
Spoiler It's the same one - it came out in the arcade in 1990 ish - it was basically Robotron, but with the controls finally done right. It was then released on pretty much every system imaginable. It wasn't an improvement over Robotron if you didn't have a joypad with enough buttons to control it (in fact, it was significantly more annoying because SmashTV was more hectic) - so the SNES was automatically the best home release...in fact, I think it was the best version full stop. The arcade had better sound, but the SNES just felt nicer for some reason - plus giving you a set number of continues gave you a high score to play for. You lose that in the arcade version, especially with MAME, because you can play forever.
In no particular order (because it may change from day to day anyway) 1. Fallout 2. MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries 3. Deus Ex 4. Fallout 2 5. Dungeons of Dredmor 6. Icewind Dale 7. Wizardry 7 8. Wizardry 8 9. Arcanum 10. Dwarf Fortress Tons of others that come close, but this isn't a top 100, so there you go.
No order. Gonna do the best or best two from each franchise so it's my top 10 franchises in a way. Fallout 1/Fallout New Vegas Shadow of the Colossus Starcraft (with or without Brood War) Halo Combat Evolved Doom II/Doom (2016) Mortal Kombat III/Mortal Kombat (2011) Spider-Man 2 Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal (I can't stand grinding now-a-days but when I was a kid, these were the best Pokemon games) I don't know what else I guess Witcher 1 and both Wastelands? I really enjoyed those. Planescape Torment isn't on my list but I foresee it happening, I've yet to play it but after I'm done with the Witcher series and maybe Tyranny I'll sit down and finally play it.
In no particular order: Fallout Fallout 2 Fallout New Vegas Arcanum Final Fantasy IX Mass Effect Trilogy Final Fantasy VII Crusader Kings II (AGOT Mod) Knights of The Old Republic The Sims 3 Honorable Mentions: Dragon Age Origins Fallout 3 The Elder Scrolls Civilization IV Democracy 3
No specific order 1.Guardian Heroes 2.Toejam & Earl 3.Resident Evil REmake 4.Starfox 64 5.Half-Life 2 ( including all episodes) 6.Metal Gear Solid 7.Fallout New Vegas 8.The Last of Us 9.Elder Scrolls: Oblivion 10.Left 4 Dead 2 Diablo 2 would probably be next in line, so difficult to choose! Scarface is an interesting choice, I had no idea it was a good game. It always slipped under my radar... sort of like The Godfather game
Bloodborne The Dark Souls Trilogy Silent Hill 2 DOOM (Reboot) Fallout Fallout New Vegas Devil May Cry Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Zone of the Enders King's Field (US) Have you checked my review on King's Field (US)? Since you're new here, it's best to give me your thoughts about King's Field.
