2008 US Elections

Sarah Palins Yahoo account has been leaked.

The internet activist group "Anonymous," famed for its exposure of unethical behavior by the Scientology cult, has now gone after the Alaskan govenor and republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

At around midnight last night some members affiliated with the group gained access to governor Palin's email account "gov.palin@yahoo.com" and handed over the contents to the government sunshine site Wikileaks.org.

Governor Palin has come under media criticism in the past week for using private email accounts to avoid Alaskan freedom of information laws. The contents of the mailbox show this to be true and also hold clues of at least one other Yahoo based mail account held by Palin, "gov.sarah@yahoo.com".

The zip archive made available by Wikileaks contains screen shots of Palin's inbox, two example emails, address book and a couple of family photos. The list of correspondence, together with the account name tends to re-enforce the earlier criticism of Palin's email use.

Doesn't anybody have the right of privacy? Also ask why Anonymous didn't hack Obama's account.

As far as I'm informed, Obama was not accused of either using private email-addresses for official business nor abusing his function for personal benefit.

I don't want to judge this incident, but using an obviously unsecure private email-account for government issues doesn't seem professional to me.

I agree. I'm sure they gave her a official Email when she got the job. She just sounds like a dumb bitch to me.

having a public e-mail is actually a common tool in europe. makes the common folk feel like they can contact "their" politicians and makes the politicians look "in contact" with whats going on.

*cough*

anyhow, i think you americans are screwed either way. not exactly like choosing between plague and cholera, but still not pleasant at all.

Uh, Sua, she's been using a Yahoo account for official governmental business. It's a really stupid action.

these elections are a joke.

Personally, I think the U.$ would probably benefit more for Obama, he's a moderate, doesn't swing far left or far right. Mccain is just batshit insane, with a horrible temper and a itchy trigger finger.

Using a civilian account is unprofessional and idiotic. A common person can still get in contact with their politicians without using a email account. We are screwed though your right.

And the backup president is a backwater Christian fundamentalist soccer mom.

In the realm of politics. There are going to be tools to be used to help get elected. Look at the 1984 election when Mondale picked a woman for VP. He used her to try to help him to get in to the White House, but that unfortunately failed when Reagan kicked his ass by carrying 49 out of 50 states.

Do you know why Dems picked Obama even though Hillary was the better candidate? He was picked because he has the charisma and he was black. Jesse Jackson tried it and Al Sharpton tried it, but they lacked the charisma that Obama had. Now Obama is now a consider a Saint like figure among the media.

Also among the Media and liberal alike. They give a view that Republicans don't care about middle class and only for the Rich. Unfortunately they need to get their facts straight. They like to forget that most rich people are democrats.

Lets look at the history of Palin and Obama:<snip>
With Palin as VP. The Republicans are reminding everyone here that we cater for everyone in the United States. Also McCain wants to send a message that Republicans are not just Bible thumping gun carrying hicks.
EHm, Palin *is* a bible-thumping, gun-carrying hick (not really, but she is strongly religious and a gun-owner).

That said, your point about their backgrounds is invalid and actually speaks against Palin, showing her to be an ill-educated person when compared to Obama.
Moreover, a person's background says nothing about who they are supporting with their policies. It's what their policies do that's important.

Also, I heard that the Republican response to allegations about Palin's inexperience in foreign relations was 'She governed Alaska, it's close to Russia!'
Hah!

I'm seriously thinking of moving to another country.

Any suggestions?
The Netherlands is always fun. Everyone knows English anyway.

Riddle me this, Batman...

How much money did Obama get from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac?

What party has the top three money launderers for 'Fannie Mac'?

Is Barry #1, #2, or #3 for biggest recipient of 'Fannie Mac' baskets full of money?

How about ole Joe Biden? Did he have his hand in the 'Fannie Mac' cookie jar?

How many more millions and millions of dollars did the Obama/Biden ticket pocket over and above what the McCain/Palin ticket received?

Still better than a pair of nutjobs running the biggest nuclear stockpile in the world.

Send me your home address so I can email it to the next Vice-President. We'll send you a nuke of your own to stockpile.

I don't get it, why would it be relevant how much money each candidate got from two defunct banks that went under due to completely unrelated issues?
