I don't think mental people would worry that much if a bot got the foreman's job. I think a schoolteacher bot teaching math/maths would blow a fuse. (I won't go into the debate over whether FO had printed circuits so fuse is possibly the most accurate)

Eh, the Skynet angle? Machines gaining self-awareness? I have enough experience in programming (3 years of C++ and Assambler) to know that this isn't something that gives me much to worry about.

Ai could howerver in the near future be so good at "simulating" responses that you can not tell the difference anymore between a human and Ai receptionist or call centers. You know, all that stuff that's repeatable.

But machines have no needs and no emotionality and the hardware limitation for now, rules out the ability to form flexible neural networks. When you look at the hardware side of todays computers, you realise how extremely limited they actually are. I remember a really good teacher telling us, computers are actually idiots. But they are extremly good at it. So they are usefull idiots.

I am not ruling out the possibility that one day someone might make a "machine" that's self aware. But that would require a level of hardware and several levels of technology we haven't even thought about yet.
