What a goddamn prick, who does this dude think he is?

A comedian? A good one, too. <3 Spoony

That said, he's refusing to show respect to someone who was given all the talent in the world and has spent most of her adult life squandering it on being a drug-addled trainwreck. Are we supposed to sympathize? Are we supposed to care? Why? She's famous. So? She brought it on herself. Ok then, that means I don't care. Nor does Spoony, apparently.

A comedian eh? what kind?

And so? she's a Human being. We're all Allah's creatures and we all deserve equal respect. She brought the death upon herself but she still could have been saved. Maybe if her friends and family helped she could've escaped it. Now shes dead though :(.

Internet reviewer kind. Like Yahtzee but less schticky.

That's a rather lame duck attitude. There's some basic empathy for human dignity, then you either work to earn respect or you work to lose it. Why am I obliged to feel sorry for or respect someone who has stormed to her own downfall when she was given the talent to soar high?

Of course we don't all deserve equal respect. Myra Kraft spent her life on philanthropy. I am sorry she's dead at the fairly ripe-ish age of 70. I am not sorry Whitehouse is dead. I wouldn't care if she was alive either. I just don't care about her, period, and I'm not obliged to.

Judging from his twitter and the video I'm watching right now, This dude has an ego the size of the sun

That's okay if you don't care but have some empathy man. And yeah she did hurry along her death but that doesn't make it any better that someone died. Sure she was asking for it but still.

And did anyoen say it was betetr that she died,? the point here is that it doesn't Spoony whether this stupid woman basicaly killed herself, he doesn't feel sad, happy or anything, it's not a tragedy because she did it herself by her own stupidity and nobody is obligued to show any kind of emotional response to something they don't care about.

I would too if I had thousands of fans constantly telling me how awesome I am. I care little for how he feels about himself, he's funny.

I'm not celebrating. I'm not going to her funeral to throw eggs.

But I'm not going to show respect either or take offense at others who don't. She's lying in a bed of her own making, nobody should feel obliged to sympathize or care.

You've actually said nothing in disguise of something. No one's obliged to sympathize with Myra Kraft or anyone; that's the point of empathy.

I would have traded heroine for sex with her. There I said it. So did everyone at work. So celebrities do die like everyone else. 'Cept Billy Mays (sp) man. The guy could invent anything. Pretty sure he was advertising for NMA.

Billy Mays here fore No Mutants Allowed. We are bringing you.......(finish the ad for me)

She was hawt long time ago, then she was not hawt anymore and just embaressing.

Life kills.

This is probably the best image of Miss Winehouse - yes she isn't a pathetic rock star, but just a normal young woman with her whole life ahead of her...don't do drugs kiddies.

I also saw some of the photos of when she started out in the public eye - this hot chick with a great ass. That changed rather soon though...

Too many obituary threads already, so:
RIP Lucien Freud 8. December 1922- 20. July 2011
I only recently discovered him for myself - a few years ago I had a friend who loved him and she considered him the best painter alive. Back then I didn't consider him being even close to that, while now when I can appreciate his painting, he's no more among us. Bah

Or do drugs responsibly. Don't blame drugs, blame the weak-willed with no self control to say "I"ve had enough."

Oh, and I always hated that goddamned beehive thing she wore on her head. Did any of you like that?

And I"ll gladly crack wise about her death, because I don't really have shame on the internet or empathy, but she was otherwise so bland an uninteresting that I don't have much to go on.

Lexx probably likes it ;)
Well, popmusic is not my cup of tea, but she made some good music.
It always sucks if a life has to end this way.

Also, far sadder: Two months ago, Harry S. Morgan died.

Is anybody surprised? Did anyone see that video of her on stage in i want to say serbia or some other former soviet republic state? It was like David Hasselhoff on the floor with the cheeseburger.

What the ... :eyebrow:

google Serbia please. Check position on the map. Read about its history. Then come back please! We've been fighting for our independence from those "Soviets" :P

Hell if I know geography on the otherside of the world. All I remember is that it was some eastern european/former combloc country. Part of the thing was they were surprised that she had a sort of following over there.

Oh and tickets were like two weeks average salary over there, the place was sold out, and she was too fucked up to sing, let alone stand.

I just realized that she joined the 27 Club. It makes me actually curious about her music.

In regards to her attractiveness, she looks very jewish and don't give me that crap about 'it's a religion', you know what I mean. What I'm trying to say is that I find her very unattractive but she was still pretty rock 'n' roll in her ways.
