First of all, it's "compatible".

Second of all, there's a great friggin' thread at the top of the forum dedicated to Bear Dude Patch that says "Any stuff related to unofficial F2 patches goes in here!"

Next bunch of bugs

1. Still some typos, e.g. Fallout DESGINER notes (after you reformat your pipboy)

2. Discrepancies between the text spoken in the endgame "city" cinematics and the subtitles

3. Double space in the first dialogue option with one of the girls in V13, Ariel or something.

4. When you exit from Golgotha and Stables, you end up about 1cm to the south-west from the place on the world map.

5. Picking up ammunition and other items as whole piles, not one "piece" at a time.

6. Chris in Navarro and one of his dialogue options: he grabs a radio hidden in his robe and alerts the guards. After you kill him, he doesn't have a radio. I guess he should.

7. After wiping out the guards in Navarro, I started a talk with Cookie the cook. He said sth like "I don't know anything, I'm blind..." etc. etc. Then, you can only say "thanks". After clicking, the dialogue window disappears as usual... just to reappear again with normal dialogue options, food, chitchat etc.

8. Some of the broad cupboards still have that bug with picking up half of the cuboard itself (e.g. in Navarro in the commander's office).

I appreciate the list of bugs guys. Though I am not responding to each post, I am making note of all that is being posted. I shall address all these bugs in the coming weeks. I hope to have an update out by mid May and get to some more progress on the expansion. (real life and University have been taking precedence over all this)

5.) When sleeping with Mrs. Bishop the line "Go to it" should be <Go> like all the other actions.

25.) Arthur, first Holy Hand Grenande encounter, says "Hail travelers" even when you have no NPCs with you.

-Ryan P. Fialcowitz

There is nothing wrong with these lines. Maybe the first one should be "Go for it", but otherwise it is correct on the current situation. Second one is exact quote from Monty Python and the Holy Grail film.

7.) The player character's floating text colour is different when Vic and Valarie are talking then it is when exploring Richard Wright's room.
-Ryan P. Fialcowitz

I think this was made so that it would be easier to see, who is actually talking.

PS. Killap, did you receive the e-mail I send you a few days ago?

I just got that message recently. Sorry about that. I don't usually check that one account that often anymore. (it would probably be quicker to e-mail the address found in the readme of my patch now) To answer the question in the message, yes testing is indeed still open for the expansion pack and when I make more progress with it I shall contact you. Thanks for the offer.

hi, i have some bugs to report. sorry if they are repeats; it's a chore to read 80 pages.

i'm finishing a play through with the latest version of the patch.

Vault City
randall in the amenities office forgets he scanned my fake citizenship papers. he scans them every time i want to buy from him until i am a real citizen. also, he restocks books. i don't know if this is a bug, but i don't remember this happening before. maybe it was broken before, or maybe its broken now.

when i got my citizenship from mclure for fixing the gecko plant, i didn't get the papers for it (although i'm treated as a citizen). this happened a couple times when i was playing on the official 1.02 patch as well, but not always. i'm not sure what the difference was.

New Reno
when doing the renesco quest for salvatore, i agreed to pay renesco's fee in exchange for a discount. when i went to take my discount, renesco agreed but all the items were full price.

other
in the toxic waste special encounter, the fire geckos are carrying sam pritchard's map instead of a fire gecko skin. and just a thought, weren't fire gecko's unskinnable before due to the hide being burnt? i think i'd rather they were left like they were.

i saw in another post somewhere that someone said the bozar was meant to be a sniper rifle and was not implemented correctly. i think giving the bozar single shot and target single shot capabilities would be a good change. the weapon description does say its a sniper weapon; it doesn't make much sense to have a burst only sniper gun.

AFAIK, you don't get any papers for becoming a legit citizen.

I can confirm that.

Well, bozar does look a lot like barrett... but is changing one of the numerous mass destruction weapons to another headshot rifle reasonable? We have a couple of them already.

Is this normal: I lost to Francis(w/e that mutants name is) in Broken Hill, I also confronted him about the murders making him disappear from the map. Now i enter the Tranker in SanFran and everyone is going on about Francis getting his way with my character. Is this a bug? Is Francis somewhere on the tanker i have yet to look?

A couple more:

1. You can't optimise the gecko reactor after finishing the game and reformatting the pipboy (the terminal doesn't work anymore)

2. Disappearing skilldex button

3. Some of the special encounter names at first don't show up. I had to revisit them for the name to refresh.

4. Sometimes you meet two fractions fending themselves off. If one of them hits you by mistake, after killing their adversaries, they'll normally shoot you as well. It happened to me at least twice (and I was attacked by mobsters and rangers)+. It's like the game chooses an enemy based on who's shot by who.

Gossip spreads quickly in the Wastes.

Funny stuff, I would expect New Reno to be the gossip town. considering its close to Broken Hills. It would make sense for Francis to stop and make a quick buck in the boxing ring. Maybe someone should make a forum for Francis and where he went.

Hey Killap,

I know this is your final patch but when I was playing a female character and spoke with Slim Picket about getting the key through sex the bottom reply was : error. The first response went and did the dirty deed and got the key the second exited the conversation, as well as the third error line.

I'm running the uk version of fallout2 and I installed the children patch and then your final patch A

Edit : Ignore this I still had patch000.dat in my fallout directory.

This one is both well-known and unfixable. Search for the "too many items bug".

This one lacks better descriptions. Did you have any companions with you when this happened? Did they (or your character) retaliate?

Nah, I was alone and I didn't fight them back.
I am aware of the engine limitations and of the fact that a victorious side (if they're hostile) will attack you only after you end the combat, but this is not the case. The victorious party tried to wipe me out next turn and they were damn mobs, they don't attack the PC.

Like I said, one of the mobs accidentally shot me while taking their precious time with the yakuza... my theory is, that it tagged me as the bad one who needs to be dealt with and after the last yakuza lay dead, the mobs turned against me.

1.) After fighting Lenny in NCR you can then offer to fight him again. This results in the screen blacking out and the game crashing.

2.) Merk offers the Dr. Henry quest multiple times.

3.) The guy who watches you car in NCR needs some punctuation in his floating dialog me thinks.

4.) If you throw The Masticator fight and then manage to convince Stuart to give you one more chance you face Holyfield. (I think.) When you beat him the game says you beat The Masticator, even though you didn't.

5.) Some of the perks, Action Boy for example, are NOT listed in alphabetical order on your character sheet.

Nah, that's fine. His other dialogue could do with some typographical fixes and consistency though.

The order of the perks is hardcoded.

1.) After rustling the brahmin in Klamath and killing the Rad Scorpions Guard The Brahmin got crossed out in my Pipboy.

2.) One of Hakunin's lines is marked it red and seems to tick him off. The line in question is: Thank you for your help.

3.) When selling slaves in The Den the line is: "I have something I'd like to sell." - should be "someone". I believe this also occurs in Vault City.

3.) Woody doesn't show up in Gecko after you save him from The Den. Does the guy from Mom's show up Modoc after you send him back?

4.) When boxing in New Reno you can punch the other boxer in the leg to which they will respond: "You leg kicking bitch." The kicking should be changed to punching since kicking will disqualify you and this case wasn't even attempted.

5.) Most of the Gun stores stock on the tanker isn't guns. In fact I found only two weapons, I believe, out of like fifteen or so items.

6.) After pissing off Chris at Navarro I had to fight the entire town. Even when I had wiped out all enemies in an area the game wouldn't let me leave combat saying there were still hostile critters around. On the occasion where I was able to leave combat the game would instantly take me back into combat as though I were being attacked. I even took out the turrets, so I don't think they were the problem.

Since I don't have time for playing F2 now, here's just one but I remember

After saving Vic, if you talk to him with having your party full, he says that he'll wait for you at Mom's. He still stays in his room at Metzger's.
