Anyone else thinks FONV missions are really tedious?

Exactly it's fantastic. Why did you dislike it?

I just took me out of it. I didn't feel like a tribal wandering the wastes, nor the Chosen One on his pilgrimage to greatness; I just felt like some dip with a car, which seemed extremely ridiculous especially with five companions packed in the back seat. Not only that, but I was the ONLY dip with a car; even in Fallout: New Vegas, there exists only one properly working vehicle, the Bear Force One, and a few barely functioning trucks. If there had been more working vehicles in Fallout 2, even if stationary, I would have believed it more.

I'd consider Tactics an exception both because it isn't fully canon and because the vehicles were part of the gameplay and explained to be widespread amongst the Midwestern BoS.

I'd love to have a Vertibird of my own to pilot in the games, but I feel as if is best left up to mods, as it would take away the "Wandering the Wastes" vibe that I love from these games, as well as being kind of hard to justify in the canon (re: Fallout 4).

So you... you... acted with the main story? Yeah... okay.

Wrong! There's an entire garage dedicated to cars and official car parking officers (okay, it's just some fuck who watches over your car) implying that there are more, it's just really rare to bump into one.

I was actually thinking about the political manipulation you can command in the game, but I wanted to keep my post somewhat succinct, seeing as both it and the main story are relevant.

I wasn't aware there were such a garage or parking officers; I've either forgotten about them entirely, or I never found them. Hush my mouth, I suppose.

I still stand by my point that it takes away from the "Wasteland wanderer" feel, but I suppose that's now my only argument, which isn't much.

Yes, now that is a good part. Okay fair enough.

Really! In NCR there's some beggar who offers to look after your car for safety while you walk around.

Yeah... but I understand if you don't like it. It's not a big part of the game anyway.
