Anyone else thinks FONV missions are really tedious?

Right, everything from New Vegas is real perfect, no tedium at once whatsoever.

Every game has a tedious part at one point or another, it's inevitable. Even if a perfect game is made, the least well-paced section of the game will be considered tedious. It's subjective but one part or another gets labelled in the end.

Real funny joke. Ha. I'm laughing. :wall:

Geez relax you take some things so seriously. I don't find New Vegas flawless, frankly I had issues with it like some of the fetch quests, being a FPS, the legion not being fleshed out, some other issues. I consider it my third favorite Fallout game behind Fallout 1 and 2 infact. Hell I don't even Find Fallout 1 and 2 flawless, especially 2. That's what separates me from rabid Bethesda fanboys though, even games I enjoy and love have flaws I could see while playing them as well as discuss after playing the game.

@dror: This now is the fifth thread from you that I moved from General Fallout to NV, please read the subfora-descriptions. General Fallout is for Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics, not 3/NV/4.

Lol havent played FO4 yet

Oh boy. If you thought New Vegas quests were tedious... O.o

For your own sake, speaking as someone who isn't even as devoted to classic Fallouts as the rest here, I heavily suggest you don't get Fallout 4. At the very least if you want that much to "experience the hype" and be disappointed, hard, then either watch a YouTube playthrough or grab it on a very generous Steam sale.

Well, Fallout 4 it's not tedious. That is why it sells. Other thing is that it's hollow, uninteresting, and when i look at my Steam hour count, i can't find fond memories, things that remember me "it was worth your time and money".

I can see how New Vegas can get tedious, there were some missions I was like "Not again"
One of those is the mission where you have to fight the super mutants and help the ghouls get to a new destination (the moon I think it was, I'm not too sure).
But the writing always brings me back to it, while Fallout NV is wacky and Surreal at times, it has enough realism to make the world feel alive and not out of place.

Fallout 4 is much more tedious, at the end of every building is a mini boss (and this has started to piss me off majorly, I dislike mini bosses for the sake of a mini boss, it doesn't make sense in Fallout, at all).

Not really. They're only tedious if you play them on console like I do, or if you're playing them the same way over and over again. Remember, you can solve a lot of problems by just killing that annoying ghoul guarding the computer in the Repconn rocket facility who wants you to check on his obviously dead ghoul girlfriend.

No one's going to miss him.

I think Davison and Antler might be my favourite side-characters in New Vegas. I'm not joking. "Who is Antler? WHO IS ANTLER?!"

And yes, it's that sudden dark realisation that nobody is going to miss this idiot, so why the hell should I have to risk my life sneaking past, or murdering my way through, a bunch of invisible Nightkin?

Yeah I guess the moral thing to do would be to help him out. But this is Fallout goddammit. If I wanna cut corners I should have the right to be a jerk sometimes!

... Has anyone ever tried to bring Davidson a bunch of Stealthboys you've looted around the Mojave on your own?

That last speech before they leave bugs me. Not at all because it's bad, it's actually fantastic but mainly because it makes me feel so damn guilty if you sabotage the rocket. The thanking and profuse gratitude of their friendship really makes me sag with the knowledge I'm going to send them to their death.

Yes. I was met with disappointment. I wish if we'd left Tabitha alive or if we'd found Jacobstown and helped that doctor there find the cure for their schizo, then we could tell Davison and his crew to head either to Black Mountain to live with others of their kind, or to Jacobstown to cure themselves if that quest was done correctly.

Just maniacally chuckle to yourself. That should stop any outside voices influencing your decisions.
