Are the Originals... Overrated?

Considering how many people in NMA actually dislike FO2 I w think you would be hard pressed to call them overrated. They just are good games and offer lots of examples of how RPGs should behave but their flaws are never overlooked.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: I've badly worded this post. It's directed specifically to those on NMA. If I was posting this on Reddit, I'd be asking if they're underrated.

Uh-huh. "dun dun DUNNNN!" and "FUCK. THAT. GAME." - badly worded is an understatement. If I had read only the first post and didn't immediately see the OP was you I would have automatically assumed that they were trying to stir up trouble. To be honest, I still think you were.

While I personally don't like NMA's close-examination strict criticism attitude, this is probably a good thing, too. Excessive criticism to the point of harassment is one thing, but the one of the worst things you can do to a creator is tell them their work is good when it isn't. Especially when, in a game's case, it's a product as well as being art, which means feedback is extremely vital.

I know most of the times "good" is subjective, but if your product has been labelled "bad" by 9 out of every 10 people for similar reasons, then either you have artistic values far too radical for modern society, or it's time to start thinking about quality checks.
