Assassins Creed III set in...

The only solution would be to stop buying products. But sadly ... gamers seem to be a very special group of consumer. There really have to happen many many bad things that they decide "not" to do something or taking actions against companies. Sometimes I am curious if gamers enjoy being the slaves of companies. Not that the gaming business is the only one where sometimes silly things happen. But seriously. Gamers really take many things before something happens. From bugs to greed and more.

Ehum! :D

I've tried to finish AC1 about 4 times (across 2 consoles) and never managed to get through it... having to sit on a bench over and over to get clues, then pick pocket, then do some other task again and again just killed it for me.

Batman Arkham City / Asylum did the "scale walls and own face" bit a lot better (and with a better character) that my level of hype for ACIII is somewhere near 0.

Fool me once AssCreed, shame on you. Fool me twice...

Agreed. ACII is the best game in the series, it has much less grind than any other and a much better story and protagonist. Get the PC version, else there are 2 whole chapters only available as DLC, and those are some of the most interesting ones. It's cheap on Steam at the moment.

Yeah ... and now?

The game is still selling millions of copies. 1500 people sure are going to change something ... not that I don't respect what they want to achieve eventually. But as long there is not a change in the way how the gamers as large think.

Hence why I enjoy the idea of kickstarter so much.

*I mean thing is. I would even buy eventually games like assassins Creed or many other interesting products. But I don't. I hate this "additional" software you need just to play the game. What we see as DRM. Sim City now will require to be online "all the time" so the economy of your city gets connected with global changes or something ... could not have made this optional or something? I really like PC games but enjoying those games from big publishers becomes more and more difficult for me.
