Bethesda 2016 E3 showcase

Quake Champions? Now I'm all for new Quake, but hero-mechanics in Quake... Eh. Not my thing. Maybe they'll announce more Quake at QuakeCon.
Dishonored 2, nice.
Skyrim Remaster, eh.
Prey Reboot? Now they're really digging deep... I guess that makes Prey one of the few games that got freed from development hell twice.
Also, Doom, Prey... Now I guess the next Quake game will be called Quake as well just so every major idTech 4 game will be rebooted in this style.
I heard Chris Avellone works on Prey, too, so I guess that's kinda cool.
Fallout 4 DLC look completely arse.

I'll watch all the announcements later.

i dont know why the stream itself were rather underwhelming unlike last year. e3 2015, bethesda does very good job to hype its fan. but this, this is basically showcase some of their failed project.

prey 2 announcement, no Quake SP, DOOM SP didnt get expansion, and no wolfenstein. huh

Quake hero, perhaps is gonna work just like quake 3 avatar style without affecting the gameplay? but still, the lack of SP. to marketing point of view, this is also suck since they got two similiar MP game (DOOM MP and Quake).

Dunno, trailer looks like it's very much hero-based with different powers. We'll probably see at QuakeCon.
Lack of SP is not that much of an issue when it's a good arena shooter like Quake 3. Maybe they'll do a new single player Quake as well.

People are saying there is a easter egg in the start of the new Quake trailer that hints at a new Wolfenstein. The New Colossus has no release date while all the other games do, and it's under the other Wolfensteins.

care to explain please?

HOW ARE NONE OF YOU TALKING ABOUT THE VR GUISE!!!! FALLOUT 4 FOR VR IS AWESOME!!!

In all seriousness, I thought when they pulled up the BethesdaVR thing they were going to unveil a new VR game they were working on. Nope, just have DOOM and Fallout 4 go and be their support for VR. The wording Hiney pulled there made me figure that maybe they are going to charge for Fallout 4 for VR, I sure hope not because that would be utter horse shit. I know people have gotten Fallout 4 to work for Vive but it doesn't work very well with all the framerate issues the game has.

In the start of the showcase, when they were introducing Quake, this is what the screen looked like

Notice how New Colossus is grouped with the Wolfenstein games. Unlike the others, it also has no date listed next to it for a release. Many people are theorizing that this is a hint at a new Wolfenstein. BJ also evokes the poem at the end of the New Order.

Well that's underwhelming... While Fallout 3 DLCs were as problematic as the main game they're decent for their price and all of them were story driven. I mean RPGs suppose to have a story am i right? Am i right guys?

I'm not even going compare New Vegas DLCs because they were all great for their prices. It's crazzy to think that Old World Blues had almost as much content as Far Harbor for 10$.

Nuka World looks typical and boring. Raiders... Yeyyy, i guess?

Building a Vault is stupid and pointless and nonsensical and there's nothing else to say about it.

Other one is just another Workshop so i couldn't care less.

I mean does this even make sense? It. is. useless...:|

I like how they named the drive "BETHESDA" when the majority of the games has nothing to do with them.

I'm no expert on VR, but it seems to me like VR stuff should either be A. immersive or B. easy on the movement.

DOOM fails the latter, which isn't necessarily bad; it just makes it unfit for VR. I don't think I have to even mention Fallout 4; it's an incredibly token effort.

I'm going to end up regurgitating what has already been said but whatever.

Contraption DLC
What 'is' the point of this DLC exactly? Armor racks? They were in Skyrim weren't they? I distinctly remember a house you could buy in Markarth or whatever that had an armor mannequin. So they basically withheld content and then release it in DLC form. The same could probably be said for weapon racks.
This: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/13174/?
Was released in 2007. And Bethesda didn't get the hang of "weapon racks" until this very DLC? Bullshit. They held off on content and decided to be so gracious as to release it for free as a DLC. How kind of them.
So what else is there in it? Elevators? I called it, I knew they were going to bring in elevators in it. Again, they withheld main game content (Gunner elevators, there's even crude super mutant elevators) so that they could sell it back to us to use in the workshop. But at least I can see a 'point' to elevators. By the greenhouse with robots there is an overpass within the build zone that would be neat to get up on so an elevator would work well there.
And what else? Crap. Utter crap that serves no damn point what so ever. What the fuck are we going to need a conveyor belt for anyway? I mean it. What could we possibly need that thing for? And it would not surprise me one bit if the thing glitches out and shoots away items every once in a while.
And the mouse trap crap? What's the point? To show off to your friends? Yeah I think they're far more interested in seeing the Voyager built in Minecraft than they are seeing your shitty little mouse trap that glitched out and had to be reset, again.

Vault DLC
I'm speechless. It doesn't make any sense to be able to build a vault but even if we can build one what is the damn point? Settlements themselves are heavily criticized for being worthless gimmick shit and Bethesda's response? "Oh but it'll be different when you build a vault" No it fucking won't. It will be just as much of a waste of time as usual settlements are.
Yknow, these kind of game mechanics seems to me like a way to let non-artistic people create something that looks neat so that they can feel proud of themselves. See that? I, the mighty Lord Fish created that!
It feels pathetic. Praise Allah that I can actually draw, maybe that's why I can't be suckered into this? It's like... It's like kids who do shitty lineart of already existing art and then upload it to their deviantart account and go "I did this". Yeah, sure you did. This kind of settlement mechanic is a way to let those in-artistic ones "be artistic" by using pre-set stuff and just combine it differently. So yeah, you managed to create something nice looking with someone elses pieces. Good job. Here's a cookie. :cookie:
And I don't know what else to say about it. It's trash. The settlement feature in this game is sorely lacking and they ain't doing shit to fix it. Instead they just pile up more and more crap we can build.

Nuka World
Bethesda's going "haha, we're in on the joke guiz! Fallout is a themepark, well now we have an actual themepark! Haha, we're totes in on the joke!"
No, Bethesda.. You're not... You're not 'in' on the joke, you 'are' the joke.

Dreck.
Absolute dreck.
I would feel bad for those who paid for a season pass buuuut... They paid for a fucking season pass. Serves them right. :lmao:

Maybe Arkane studios will make the new Fallout Spin off game on the west coast with Avellone as the lead writer.
That would be sweet. They are actually one of the few studios who could make it.
Dishonored dealt with consequences 10 times better than Fallout 4, and it didn't even pretend to be a RPG.

Agreed, I thought it was very lackluster and should have just been called shit we'll showcase at Quakecon and Dishonored 2.
