Bethesda Shows Where Their Priorities Are (Patch 1.6 New)

Valenwood? Oh no, the next Elder Scrolls game will take place in Hammerfell. Think about it. Hammerfell is mostly a massive desert which means Bethesda, in their infinite laziness, won't have to put a lot of work into making the worldspace and since Hammerfell is mostly inhabited by the Redguards, who are the black race in the Elder Scrolls world, means that they will get heaps of praise from the gaming media for being "progressive" and "diverse" and anybody who says otherwise is a racist and a closed minded bigot. Bethesda can both be lazy and get recognition at the same time if they make ES6 take place in Hammerfell. Its the choice that allows them to have their cake and eat it too.

Bethesda once again show that they're all about gimmicks.

I like the feature in itself, but it's completely meaningless when all they seem to do is focus on features like this. If the game itself actually had some thought put into it, I'd be very happy about a nice little touch like this.

Seriously, I know you just want to get to Elder Scrolls: Valenwood and peace out until 2023 Bethesda

Their next game could be something called Starfield. On another forum I read that Zenimax trademarked that name a few years ago and just recently updated it to apply also to phonegames along with PC and consoles.

Could it be that Toddster and Bethie are going to make a boring space sandbox with an equally useless app-game by its side? Maybe, maybe not. No-one knows.

I can't wait to see how they're going to scale down space itself.

As long as they realized voice control, I'm fine with it. But something tells me nope. But and it's a big butt. What do they want with this 'Starfield'? Genre is occupied by either Freelancer, X series, EVE Online or Elite: Dangerous for example. Nothing like open-world post-apoc...

FFS Bethesda, why would you add an additional 300+ names to Codsworth, and not actually do something useful. This game this is Fallout 4 has very very limited ways to RP, I mean I saw someone change their character's face as time went on in-game. That's a nice attempt, yes, but after watching a couple of rants, I can now say I hate FO4.

People sharing their stories from Fo3/NV and then being sad because they can't share those stories in Fallout 4. Jesus christ Bethesda, even Todd Howard thinks some mechanics didn't work out in the end, and he said it just works. This 300+ names Codsworth can say is only gonna make people be saltier.

Bethesda can devalue it's franchises all it wants. They may have increased sales, but their reputation is going to continue going downhill as they keep making dumbed down games that even the most casual gamer finds stupid and boring.

By all means put a dialogue wheel and voiced protagonist in Elder Scrolls 6. And please add Tamriel Workshop DLC. And have nothing but MMO quests. I will give it "10/10 Near Perfect Videogame!"
Also why is nobody addressing the elephant in the room? They recorded 300 new names..... that Codsworth is still only going to say like 3 times. Like, they're adding onto a feature that's already a total dud that they borderline lied about in pre-release stuff.
The fanboys are bragging about how this is free content and Bethesda is so great because EA would charge money for this patch. No one is addressing this because Bethesda's fanbase is now completely full of casual idiots who are literally asking for a second Season Pass with more Workshop DLC.

Theres really no FIXING fallout 4,is there? The game is the way it is, and, unfortunately, no amount of patching will fix it to even come CLOSE to what we would expect to be a somewhat decent game

I mean, maybe they could, but at this point it would take a lot of time and effort to do it, plus the already existing fans would just be pissed and wished Bethesda would die while being soaked in pig blood and raped by a bear (no offense killgore)...

Fixing fallout 4, AKA Bethesda should let Obsidian do another game, before Beth makes a Fallout 5.

It will be a LONG time before we see another fallout. Obsidian is also working on Tyranny, which has only been teased and a release date hasn't been confirmed yet.

Also I was talking about fixing F4 as it is in its current state. Fixing the ENTIRE FRANCHISE as a whole however, can only be done by the making of fallout 5 (Which yeah, should be done by Obsidian, i agree).

Well with the way Bethesda has developed Fallout games so far, Fallout 5 is going to be finished 10 years from now and take 2 hours to finish but 10000 hours to play through all of the procedurally generated MMO quests.

Paid mods'll fix it though :/

I dont really think them as idiots who dont give a crap about the games they make. I mean you can easily see that a lot of love and care was put into fallout 4 and skyrim, but you can also see that a lot of money talk went into it. I wouldn't go as far as to say that F5 will be same/worse, but really its going to be such a long time before it gets made that i dont care enough to ponder about it.

Let's all just focus on the future RPGs that are coming out and hope to see as many of them as possible. Also lets stick to the main goal of this site, to preserve one of the greatest and epic series of games to have ever spawned on the artistic media known as role-playing games:
Fallout
Fallout 2
And of course :
Fallout New Vegas

I looked and saw the name Ebony. I always thought Ebony was a way to describe black people since I haven't really seen it used for other purposes than that and wood, why would they include a name like that lol.

So, if I am understanding this correctly, you're upset/criticizing them for something that has literally never happened in this game before, Fallout 3, or New Vegas......... gotcha.

Sure Codsworth can say names now...but c'mon, unless you always have Codsworth as a companion, how many times will you hear your name? So yeah, it is something to complain about. If there were other patches, then we wouldn't be as upset, but from what I know, Bethesda only added the names.
