Okay I'll stop now.
Heh, well, SOME people can't handle the truth.
That's kinda why they lie every day to brainwash people.
That is completely wrong. The media directs all of their attention to white on black violence instead of the other way around. Stories of a white family that was murdered by a black aggressor don't make the MSM here. Instead, all you are the stories about how a white man killed a black man either unjustifiably (They say this when it was actually in self defense) or not, they use the tragedy of a murder to push their political agenda about how whites are the true aggressors.
Fake News =/= Agenda.
I think people are overusing the term Fake News and apply it to everything they simply don't agree with. Particularly when it comes to the big news agencies. You guys should be, in my opinion, more carefull with your words here. Not beacuse I particularly care, but simply put it's a thing of intelligence, and I do not mean this to attack you or anyone here. But there is simply a difference if I write an opionated news article, if I get facts wrong (in other words mistakes), or if I deliberatly create completely wrong news with the intention to lie. Do news agencies often follow a certain agenda? Absolutely. Was this ever different? No. This is true for all of us, because we all have opinions. You have every right to be frustrated, but you should be a bit more selective when it comes to your anger. There are 1000 maybe 100 000 of people working in the media, and I am pretty sure that only a tiny fraction of them actually engage in Fake News, again yes many will have some agenda maybe even write their opinion rather than news, but you have today a wide range of news networks and websites to chose from where you want to get your doze of bullshit these days. More than ever before in our history, and often even in real time.
What I've never understood about Black Lives Matter is how they focus on police brutality rather than blacks killing their own kin. Roughly 80% of crime in America is perpetrated by African-Americans, almost all of that crime is black on black crime. But no, they wanna focus on the small police brutality cases and blame white people.
Gonna end your wall of text here.
I don't agree with it because its FALSE.
No, muslims worldwide aren't going against terrorism and mourning for those killed.
No, cops aren't genociding blacks.
No, Trump is not literally hitler.
If they told the truth, I would not care.
But I can't stand for lies.
Yeah, nice way of twisting around what I said to fitt your narrative.
You're a furry, aren't you? I heard all furries are gay dramatic perverts dreaming of fucking animals while wearing costumes. I mean some are! So they all must be! Right? Funny how that goes, generalisations and all that. If you look hard enough, you will find idiots everywhere no big suprise, doesn't mean that everything is always either about truth or who's wrong or who's false. We're not talking about physics after all, you know.
But you're throwing thousands of people together just like, while you probably don't even know how journalism works, do you actually know what fake news are? Do you really believe ALL of the media out there is purposefully lying to you? Do you even know how damn much news papers, media outlets, news chanels, tv stations, news reporters and god knows how many researchers there are out there? What are you, a conspiracy nut?
You're extremly unspecific by the way, like I ever said Trump is Hitler or that those which compare him to Hitler have a point, didn't I say that you have more ways to chose your news than ever before? Do you know what lies actually are?
Don't care, the VAST majority of media is fake news. And people are getting their eyes opened from it.
Some out there are true, sure.
But do said things get most of the attention? No.
You're not the media, OR news.
You know what the media WAS saying, and still is?
Trump is literally hitler.
Sure, he is an asshole.
But he isn't going to make WW3, or start The Purge, like the media was saying.
Okay there was no need to mention @ThatZenoGuy being a furry. You do realize the news you think isn't fake news really is, you just haven't opened up your eyes yet. Here's some proof:
The MSM is full of liberal bias and is always trying to harass Trump around every corner but it's okay cause you hate the guy right?
They shilled for Hillary too, the polls saying that she was going to win happened to be fake too. News always tries to show off the blacks are being oppressed and that whites are not at all involved in situations like this either.
And this is staged because ... you guys say so? Is this all you've got, I am curious do you think this would stand in a real court? What other evidence do you have besides this video.
I wasn't there, I don't know the reporters, but Britain has relatively strict laws regarding journalism. If you guys think they did something wrong, why not fill out a lawsuit against CNN? - if you're from Britain that is. Or even better, why hasn't CNN been sued yet? I can't find any information on that. That video is clear proof, or not? Are the judges and the jurisdiction of Britain also pro-muslim/fake news/what-ever-conspiracy?
Because no footage has surfaced of the moments leading up the video in question, it’s so far unclear if either narrative is true.
What you're doing here, isn't looking for what might have happend, what you're doing is to find something to validate your narrative, it's confirmation bias.
You know, sometimes people have an opinion about a situaiton that seems clear, but it tourns out that it isn't, sometimes even years after the incident happend - people which well end up with the death penality despite the fact that they have been well, inocent.
And sometimes it happens that a guy who's seemingly guilty as fuck is released, despite of the overwhelmingy evidence and motive - see O. J. Simpson.
See, this is the problem I have you're always very quick to judge everything but you claim to be super critical with the media, but to me it seems that you have a certain narrative in your mind and you will ignore everything that might speak against it while point out everything that speaks for it. Not to mention that you guys love to ignore that I was talking about the media as whole what you brought up - if we assume what you accuse of CNN is happen to be true - is if best anecdotal. I will say it again, the media is not one big Borg collective and all I am saying is that you should not treat it like that.
He's pretty open about it, and I have gay feelings. Wow. Big deal. But it's not funny to be on the other side I guess, right? Strange how that works. I've meet my far share of biggots in my past, I mentioned in other posts that my live was once threatend by neo-nazis. But you know what, I would never want to actually hurt them, a childhood friend of mine was for a short time a neo-nazi/skinhead type. Once you actually get in contact with people, it can really change your mind about them.
The point is to show that one can find him self very fast in a situation where you can be generalized, when ever it fitts someones narrative.
For people to claim to be very criticial I find that you're very selective in the kind of information you accept as 'true' and that you're never actually questioning your own motivations or positions, where you guys get your informations from, what is the context of the informations? What is the motivations by the people posting/sharing it? And do you actually share their ideals? I read a lot of leftist blogs/facebook/news, but I never stop to question their motivations beacuse as you correctly said, everyone has an agenda.
For example, you could look at the guy who shared the video above on social media, Mike Cernovich:
Mike Cernovich (born November 17, 1977) is an American social media personality, writer, and conspiracy theorist. Often described as part of the alt-right, he describes himself as "new right" and an "American nationalist." Cernovich's website Danger & Play started in 2012 and was originally known mainly for self-improvement content. However, during the 2016 US presidential election campaign, it largely focused on pro-Donald Trump and anti-Hillary Clinton commentary.
I just find it funny that someone like Zeno guy actually agrees with people that would probably want to see him (and me as well) burn - Members of the far right/alt right. When it comes to the media, we've had this in my education as graphic designer while studying photobraphy. in our second year we analysed how you can create a narrative with just showing 2 min. clips from a 20 min. interview or how a certain angle from a photography, or only showing half of the image can completely change the message - that's why I fucking hate Michel Moore for example, since he's a shitty entertainer and not a documentary filmmaker.
But I am sure this post of mine will be to long again and people will miss the actuall message I am trying to get across.
The thing I am trying to say is that the term fake news is used so often these days that it's completely loosing it's meaning. Since if EVERYTHING is fake news then it has the same meaning like if you say EVEYTHING is sexist/mysognist/racist etc.
Oh good God.
You've got to be kidding me. It was staged to make it look like Muslims are the good guys after those couple of Muslim attacks, I mean after all providing actual evidence still has you talking about how they did nothing wrong. That was not staged because...I read what someone happened to interpret from watching the footage themselves..right? I mean come on London has a Muslim mayor that said "part and parcel of living in a big city" when it came to talking about these terrorist attacks. You guys are screwed if you keep up this political correctness, maybe a small portion of Muslims actually are good and don't follow such a backwards religion but the reality is "death by political correctness".
Oh I'm so quick to judge huh? Maybe I should spend another year reading more bullshit from MSM outlets before I come to conclusions right?
Although you may think that that word is thrown around more than enough times to be considered a 'buzzword', you have to understand that most, if not all, of the claims of a news source or outlet spreading around false information, is true. It is and has been happening with American media outlets for about a decade and it ain't going to let up any time soon, it's just that more and more people are drawing their attention to it.
It's become more relevant the last year or so due to Trump bringing awareness to it when stories that were being published provided false information to the general public, something that news sources shouldn't do, but do it irregardless. It's a shame that the mainstream media that gives us our news today are all trying to push one agenda over the other, and Americans have figured out through other sources and further examination of those sources that the news given to us on a daily basis may or may not be false.
Sure, the mainstream media is full of shit. Doesn't change the fact that Fox News, the platform the Republicans love to spin from, is part of the problem yet they act apart from it. So is Breitbart and Infowars which are massive news outlets whether people want to admit it or not. They have pull. Any of these uber popular news sources people keep claiming are totally accurate yet the other side is wrong? They are just as wrong. It's all confirmation bias.
It gives me this weird state run media vibe where Kellyanne Conway can run her trap about any old thing on Fox and Friends and remain unchallenged. BUY IVANKA'S NEW LINE OF TAMPONS! It's nonsense. Even the phrase "mainstream media" is a fucking Fox News buzzword that they parrot so much it hurts my head. CNN is no better and I hate for people to automatically say that fucking useless comment when you critique Fox. The point is you can't trust any of them.
Fox News is the most popular news channel by far - that's the very definition of mainstream. They act like the underdogs when they control the flow of news to the core of the country. The working class are much more interested in hearing about infrastructure, military, the budget, and taxes than they are how many different ties Trump owns, or what the Muslim's in Africa's think about Trump, or how many Democratic pollsters think Trump is not a good president. The whole thing is a shame (typo left in). Including the people like Alex Jones the Alt Right supports.
If I see Newt Gingrich's shill ass spout off one more outright lie on Fox News I might make a drinking game of it. Liberals and alt right are tearing the country apart while the rational people are stuck in the middle.
About Michael Moore, I still actually like him. The US media is very right wing overall especially from a Euro perspective. So there is room for one Michael Moore in there.
I posted a case of a guy who was shot by a cop while obeying orders the cop told him and the cop walked. Not even a manslaugher charge. That's a fact. All the posts after that are more about opinions, and stuff.
Who cares who the aggressor was? This all racist the moment you bring race up anyway.
What I meant was that the media spins the story so much that they want to make it out to be about race to push an agenda.
You know the funniest fucking thing?
Go back 3-5 years, and everything on the news, I believed.
Now I can practically google, and within 3 minutes, find that just about every 'drama' on the news is absolute fabricated bullshit.
Why do you trust Google search results?
Because from there you can check a dozen sources, first hand footage, and more?
News is one dude/chick going 'dis happened, believe me plx'.
The internet allows you to see the event with your own damned eyes.
Does it? What happens when Google stops the flow of information from reaching the sources, or it is altered, or what you are seeing isn't really the whole picture? All information comes from systems outside of our control yet people act like their source is the one true clean flow and all others are poisoned. I'm just pointing out the flaw in trusting a Google search result to provide correct information even with "sources". It is this internet journalism type focus that caused the Pizzagate shooting.
No one knows ultimately even if you see footage how do you know what you are seeing is what you think it is? Is that a bomb or a missile? Was he grabbing his pants or a gun? The truth is we are all at the whims of our masters. They control all information, and the small pockets they don't outright control they weaken the influence of with various tactics. Even movements like BLM are infiltrated by government agents in efforts to discredit them. The whole system is shit and people thought TRUMP of all people would shake it up. Gullible.
Even with footage you do not have the whole context to work from...in the case of BLM matters the cops have the footage, the testimony, the power, benefit of the doubt, usually total control of the flow of information. When this gets out of their hands they are usually fucked.
I tell you this: If a soldier fucks up in the military, but his command has his back, they will make sure he gets off as easy as possible even if he did fuck up. Same with cops. People that believe they will always do right are naive. I think this is why news is the most reliable when totally disregarded when it comes to politics. I check the news now to make sure we aren't at war, there are no tornados overhead, and a form of mild curiosity at the possibilities that are unfolding. I find it amusing that anyone can speak of definite truth these days when it comes to world affairs. We know nothing of 90% of the operations behind the scenes until years after the fact, even then we are lied to on a day to day basis to keep the world from tumbling into chaos.
