Bush says silly things again

He's commenting on democracy and freedom in Iraq. First he basically says that democracy equals freedom(hah!), and then he said that:

"stability cannot be purchased at the expense of liberty"

Ehh...what? Then why is there that nice US PATRIOT act??

then this:

As a result, he said the United States "has adopted a new policy," which he described as "a forward strategy for freedom in the Middle East."

"This strategy requires the same persistence and energy and idealism we have shown before -- and it will yield the same results," Bush said. "We believe that liberty is the design of nature. We believe that liberty is the direction of history."

Oh, great, so he's going to invade the rest of the countries as well. Weeeeeee...

Surprisingly, though, there were some sensible comments I actually agreed with. Hehe...

The Patriot Act is an issue of privacy, as information on you can be called up with reasonable cause.

That aside, I stopped listening to what Bush said a long time ago.
All of his speeches can be paraphrased into, "We good, they bad. We kill bad, make better."
 
Whenever I think Bush says stupid things, I remember some of Berlusconi's statements and Bush instantly starts to seem like a member of MENSA.
 
I always listen to Bush quotes, father and son alike. It's good for a chuckle. My favorite is "I've coined new phrases, such as 'misunderstanding' and 'hispanically.'" Aside from 'misunderstanding' having already been a word, how in the blue hell do you use 'hispanically'? Is it: "'iAy yi yi! iHay es un gato en mi pantalones!' Juan said hispanically."?

I would say the world is coming to an end. Why? France is calling the United States arrogant, Germany won't go to war, and pornstars are running for governor of California, or were. Bush is an idiot. But he is better than Clinton. Wonder if he will win the next election?
 
That "Kindergarten Colors" one is funny. I want one of those "I'm not with stupid" shirts that points to a picture of Bush.
 
Clinton is like n! times better than Bush! Here's a little comparison:

Clinton is smart - Bush is an idiot.

Clinton gets a lot of pussy - Bush is a pussy.

Clinton had great relations with all European countries and good relations with Russia, China, middle-eastern countries and other traditional enemies of USA - Bush managed to turn every single country, faction and organization in the world against him (except maybe Interregional Organization of Handicapped People and Hitler's Youth).

Clinton was (relatively) young and handsome - Bush looks like an 80-year-old dope.

US economy under Clinton was flourishing - US economy under Bush is in a MAJOR decline.

Human rights under Clinton were at their peak - Human rights under Bush are lower than they were during McCarthy's witch hunt.

Clinton's interventions actually helped stop hostilities between Israel and Palestine for a couple of years - Bush can't even get Israeli and Palestinean authorities to start considering the possibility of beginning to consider discussing creation of conditions for a possible cease fire.

I find this an interesting reversal of opinions. How exactly does defying the majority of the UN and going to war make Bush a pussy?

When Clinton was in office, our interests coincided with theirs. Now that our interest lies in Iraq (which hampers France and Germany) Europe hates us. Too bad.

Not anymore. According to current information, 125,000 jobs have been created this fiscal quarter, bringing unemployment down to 6%, which is pretty significant considering it used to be above 7.

Or maybe, its because Palestinians rejected the Israeli peace plan, and then that murderous bastard Sharon became Israeli Prime Minister. Its hard to get talks going between terrorists and a man who turned a blind eye while his soldiers executed POWs in the Sudan.
 
Yeah, well, death penalties were carried out on prisoners in Texas during while Hit.. eer Bush was behind the governor's seat. From a totally macchiavelic point of view, it's the same as turning blind eyes on POW killings.

The death penalty is a part of Texan culture. It is, this is not just northern (let alone Chicagoan) prejudice. Comparing something as heanious as POW killing to the Death Penalty when one is as much a part of the culture as using the Alamo as the Mecca of Texas.

Bush has dislexia. I would know. Most people in the dislexic community realize it.

How are we not friends with at least Russia? I think our pissing on Kyoto had alot to do with thier pissing on Kyoto.
