"Cafe of Broken Dreams" | Another tribute

Oh of all things...

I have not seen a better example of art for Fallout, fan or professional that looks this good. You sir are truly a hero.

I mean just the atmosphere...besides the artistic aspects.

Yeah, right. You say that to just about every one on these boards. It's a friggin' wonder you haven't been infected with aids yet, you fuckin' homo!

Anyway, I was rather curious: did you [i.e. Defonten] draw all of this out of the blue, or did you start with something like a picture (photo, painting, drawing by someone else, especially that background 'cause that looks like it was taken from somewhere else)? And was this done solely with the aid of a computer or does this piece of art also exist on canvas/paper/whatever medium you like?

Out of the totally blank background in Photoshop from the very start to the end using only standard chalky brushes mostly. -) Some elemets are 3D. Here's the initial sketch:

Look, I've been avoiding saying this the whole thread, but Frith be damned people...

Why would the Chosen One be in the Cafe of Broken Dreams? The Cafe of Broken Dreams was the repository of *Fallout 1* characters.
