ACK! how dare you say i work at Target! i work at Target World

think a really big gunstore and a 25 yard indoor pistol and shotgun range in one building. The only reason i got hired was because of my paintball experience... they just got into carrying paintball stuff. Anyway... lets just say my small guns skill has increased exponentially :p

Can't wait to see the completely body armor

If I had the resources ($), I wouldn't mind making a FUNCTIONAL suit of power armor for myself..

Ah... but a boy can dream can't he? :(

By the way, I heard Bill Gates made a real model of the Halo armor. It supposedly cost him $2.5 million and weighs around 2 tons. (Shield not included)

i'd believe it... he has way too much money.

anywho, i just finished painting the helmet... did i forget to mention it came in a safety orange color?

anyway... i saw some spots i missed and will go back over it tomorrow...

i need to work on finishing up the harness, but havnt really had the time... ill probably work on it this weekend when im off from work

... then theres the pack... for which i bring to the table no sewing experience, so without a patern, i may be screwed on that

Just in case you were wondering about Bill Gate's suit of armor, he took some pictures.

That's not really him in the armor, I'm not quite sure who it is.

well... yet another blow to the project has occured...

Today on the way to work, i was involved in a traffic accident... luckily i was not at fault and doubt that i will have to pay much if anything out of pocket... i still will need to get this straightened out before i make any great strides in the completion of the armor.... pictures to come as soon as i secure a camera

Sorry to hear about that WarMonger, hope everything turns out alright in that regard.

As far as that spartan armor goes, you can buy it from some place but it's expensive. I Saw their page a while back. It's just made out of plastic and cloth.

yeah, G4 had the makers of the armor on one or 2 of their shows... just the helmet costs something like $800 USD

and microsoft is their biggest customer, they bought like 200 full suits for their Halo 2 promotion things

anyway... i got a copy of the police report today... it says i commited no offense and the other driver is facing a failure to yield charge... so i shouldnt have to pay anything. also, i plan on having a rental and my car being in a shop by the end of the week.

yeah, the name sound familiar.

i just found out i'm getting these for christmas.... i figure with a little OD spraypaint, i have my shinguards.

still having lots of trouble with the harness, im thinking im going to need to NEED to do it in fiberglass to achieve the correct results.

the only problems with fiberglass are:
1) it gets expensive
2) it is very messy
3) it is extremely dangerous

While money and mess arn't things im generally worried about, the toxicity of the media is... and being that i dont have a well ventilated spot to work on this in, it will have to wait until the weather in South-Western Ohio improves.(ie. no rain and a temp above 50 deg. F)
