I tend to roll centrist but it depends on the specific issue. For example, geopolitics, I am a hawk but I am also pro-choice.

Green movements fail just like any of the other fringe parties. Their scope is too narrow and their adherents too extreme. Most of the green folks are what we call 'progressives', that explanation alone should suffice.

But yea, the issue with third parties in America is that their appeal is not broad enough. They mostly focus on one or two things but completely ignore other very important factors.

If you check out Bernies or Jills stance on geo-politics, you will notice they won't say much because they know their kumbayah message won't fly. Just one example.

I would describe myself as a "Leftist". The term Liberal historically refers to a certain type of centre-left person, and has only recently been used to mean anyone left wing, so I don't personally use it to describe myself.

...in USA? Yes of course they fail. If a green politician were to become succesfull despite the power of the two corporate parties relying on corporate handouts (repugnants and democRATs), that green politican would most likely be assassinated. Can't go against corporate greed in USA.

Just look at the long history USA has in assassinating trade unionists around the world.
 
I think that might be going a bit too far.

A green politician would fail simply because his/her message isn't broad enough, like I already pointed out. Even John Oliver was shredding Jill Stein because she was a bit clueless when it came to anything other than green initiatives.

The fact is you can't be JUST GREEN. Whoever is elected is the president for EVERYONE. That person needs to be able to reach across the isle, walk down the middle so to speak. One can allow frakking in one area and set up nature preserves and focus on green energy as well.

Otherwise, any green candidate will be continued to be viewed as they are now, extremists who only push their special brand of message while giving a big 'Fuck You', to everyone else.

Yea, nobody needs to assassinate anyone who can simply tank their own candidacy by sounding like an idiot.

Well everything he posts is dripping with hyperbole. Green Party has always been a shit platform because nobody is going to vote for you if the only thing you can answer is Muh Trees to a question on tort reform or medium income expenditures.

If this is based on the American definition of Liberal and conservative, I think I am probably a post modern anarco marxist Leftist. In any country outside the US I am just center left.

The Kumbayah levels on that Green Party site are red lining. Seriously, eliminiting our WMDS, open border, playing fair while every other country fucks us in the ass, that is absolutely INSANE.

PS: George, if I remember correctly, ran a normal campaign. He didn't run some kind of campaign on primarily kumbayah good feelings and pie in the sky dremas of free shit for everyone with 'Tax the rich', as the only answer.

In order to make it work, the green parties proposals would require a massive tax hike across the board. Just look at the interview where Bill Maher shreds Bernie Sanders on how he would finance all his free shit promises.

So you want the Green Party to have WMD's? What if they were to, just to set an example, nuke the headquarters of the Exxon corporation? I would imagine that would be enough for many corporations to clean up their act, literally. And it would be good for planet earth in the long run. The radiation around the ruins of the Exxon HQ would dissipate over time like in Hiroshima.

As asinine as it sounds, yes, the Green Party idiots would actually have the U.S. nuclear arsenal destroyed as they are clearly naive fucking lunatics who think their brand of kumbayah will keep the U.S. safe.

Among other idiotic things is to introduce a whole lot of free shit, which wouldn't actually be free because they would have to enact a massive, across the board, tax hike. Look at Obamacare which required the heinous and odious 'individual mandate', to keep it solvent.

Even the super hippy states cannot manage to pass free medical care because it is too fucking expensive. California? Fuck not, it would require the entirety of the states operating budget and then some. Vermont, Bernie, crazy man, Sanders home state, nope, too much money.

AGAIN, unlike Europe, we have 280 million mouths to feed here, and that's the conservative estimate. The 'Nordic countries', Bernie loves to run his mouth about, they have a combined population of 25 million or so. And even then, the system is not unbreakable. many countries are getting smashed by the refugee crisis and these folks realized free shit only works for so many.

Well I guess I cast with the conservatives, you know being Libertarian on such a basic sliding scale as left/right means I am "far right" (or as I call it following classical liberal examples) I guess..... Now on a somewhat better scale of political leaning:

Depending how you define the borders of Europe, the population of Europe is around 500 million. All have UHC. If you go by widest definition and include part of Russia it's 741 million.

Canada has UHC. I think even Mexico has a form of UHC although as a poorer nation they might have lower lever of overall care. Even China has it. What the fug is USA's major malfunction since they can't get UHC?!
