Creation Kit and Bethesda.net mods are out

There is website called PC part picker where you can build your PC easily. It even tells if you the components you selected are incompatible with eachother.

Maybe there's a mod for that, to remove intro-logo's when starting up the game.
You can right click on the game in your steam library, click on properties, under one of the tabs there's a "browse local files" option for opening up the folder with the game files. From there you look for the startup logo files under a movie folder(usually), just rename them with a "_"(without quotes) in the beginning of the name. No need for a mod, that's what I do with all my games. That's one reason why I love PC gaming.

So anybody create a new UI to replace that piece of shit UI that the game currently uses?
Honestly at this point I really don't care about Fallout 4, I just like listening to news of Bethesda shitting themselves with all this stupidity they're adding to their game and people getting mad at them about things like the paid mod DLCs which were overpriced.
I'm so fucking glad I uninstalled it from my PC, they should've paid me for installing it in the first place.

And after 15 years of constant hand holding, dumbing down and corporate schlock, you just feel very frustrated and tired of gaming in general. Particularly as almost ANY(!) kind of criticism these days is often enough meet with unreasonable arguments, like how you're nostalgic and to old or what ever. Yeah ...
Yeah, honestly, I can really understand that.
One of the biggest dissapointments I had a few years back was the new Thief.
Now, I've never played a Thief game before, but I had heard that the old ones were pretty great so I bought the new one on what I had heard of the old ones. It was nothing more than the average shit that gets released.
And I see that with DOOM. I don't just see how the counter-argument should just be "You're nostalgic and you're old so you don't like it".
The argument to that simply is "Fuck off, I was here first".

But if we wanted to go more into depth, we could just argue that a sequel or a reboot is meant to improve on the original. Not just dumb it down and produce it for mass market. And the sad thing, that kind of thinking only does well in games.
Think about the music and films where the creator had dumbed their work down in order to get the most audience. Usually, they get called out on their bs, so why do we let this type of thing slip in gaming?

As a console gamer, I don't want to see games dumbed down for me. If a game isn't suitable for Console, then put it on PC. If I like the look of it, I'm sure I can wait 10 years to play it.

I view it more as a way for the people creating the new reboot to stick in a reimagining of what they feel it should've been along with the usual shitty fanfiction, politically correctness, etc like Thiaf did.

I see a sequel as a way to make more money/ to dumb elements down of its predecessor to cater to the console users and in general just a wider audience and attempt to make it better but end up retconning somethings and making other parts(like the interface, gameplay etc) worse, I mean there are good sequels to some games but usually you end up getting sequels like thief 3, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Deus Ex Invisible War, and many others.

Says on the side here:

That's one of the reason why building a computer is than buying a prebuilt, you can get much more for the money or save it for a future upgrade.

Yep. There are plenty of resources out there now, both for pre and self-build rigs. It's not like it was 10 years ago when building a PC was a bit more of an arcane art lol

@Spacemunkey Agreed, if you're building anyway and can afford it, going for the new GPUs. I'd personally recommend nVidia every single time, because AMD still seems to have severe issues in a lot of games thanks to their drivers. I've never encountered issues with nVidia across multiple cards and the last 10+ years, anecdotal of course, but nVidia have always been superior when it comes to software, whereas ATI/AMD... well, their drivers have basically always been shit.

That's what I'm doing, waiting for Pascal so I can build a nice Skylake setup and move into 4K. I'll also probably wait until black Friday/cyber Monday so I can maximize the money I spend.

Oh I would wait a while longer to see the new AMD Zen processors and see how they do ;). Who knows maybe you could save a buck or two since AMD is always the cheaper alternative. Although for GPU I would almost certainly go with Nvidia for obvious reasons(Gameworks)

Yeah, I'm holding off on anything new for now. Though being forced to use Win10 if you want the latest Intel chips is a dick move by Microsoft :/ I bought myself a GTX960 last November to tide me over until I feel like building a new rig, then I'll move across to DDR4 and the latest Intel CPU (octacore probably) and one of the new nVidia cards.

A friend just pointed out to me that the Bethesda video posted here before only mentions PC when they say: "Make the mods on PC and share them with all your friends on Xbox and PS4".

I haven't even noticed that...

Well yeah, you can't make mods on console. All development happens on PC, we've known that for years.

What is this crap about not being able to switch back to survival mode if opt out LOL?. That's the stupidest shit I've ever seen.

Oh ffs. Now I can't reload my previous saves because up until now I was playing in survival mode. Fucking bethesda man. 1 step ahead, 5 steps back.

Yeah, because Survival disables the console and mods. Being able to switch means you could just drop to very hard, cheat like fuck, and go back, so it's basically a way of preventing players from breaking the mode. It's honestly surprising, given Bethesda's usual power fantasy approach to everything.

Prevent someone from cheating themselves in a single player game, way to prioritize BGS, fucking dipshits. Meanwhile there are people saying that the 1.5 patch has broken their game yet again.
