Cyberpunk 2077 - Coming out on the 10th

I want to know the state the game was in april since that was apparently the original release date. That must have been some Bethesda level of bugs and glitches.

Isn't it in a worse state at the moment though? Other than 76 that is.
It is. Rumor has it that Microsoft is going to remove the game from their store too. That would make Cyberpunk a PC exclusive. LOL! What a shit show. Now the devs are attacking the executives for pushing the game out when it wasn't finished. This maybe the most disastrous release I have ever seen in my 22 years of gaming.

Sony pulling the game from the PS store and issuing refunds is some serious wtf when they have a ton of trash in their store and yet don't do that for those terrible games. Still, making the circus that is this game's release even bigger than before, and i'm honestly having a blast.

Whatever excitement i had left for new AAA games has been replaced by me waiting for the possibility of the game's release being a disaster, and in turn produce a ton of meme material for me to laugh at.
People are pissed, and I think Sony removing it from the store and providing refunds is just a sly move to gain consumer trust. I've seen a lot of praise going Sony's way so it seems to have panned out.

Considering they're not pulling Physical copies off of shelves, it won't be a full PC exclusive.

I feel bad for the regular cdpr devs that had to bust ass under chaos and absurd deadlines. They see all this shit now after all that and you know managment will be taking it out on them.
Crunch culture is a fucking nightmare, and Devs should start Unionizing tbh.

I have been playing it intensively since launch, it's quite a lot, but not enough to see everything as it is indeed quite a huge game. There are a few missions where the gameplay and storytelling really shines and reminds me of the best parts of Deus Ex 3 and The Witcher 3, respectively, but too much of the time the design philosophy with this one is far too similar to Obsidian's Outer Worlds and Bethesda's "Fallouts". It's also disappointing that so many of the cool features we saw in the early gameplay trailers got cut from the final game. Don't get me wrong, it's still an amazing game, but it could have been so much more. I can only hope they pull a No Man Sky on us and continue the development process after launch and end up delivering the game they actually promised through updates and expansions.

Calling it, Cyberpunk 2077 is worse than Fallout 4. At least Bethesda released a game that ran relatively smooth and was actually finished. And Fallout 76 was nearly as bugged and glitched but Sony and Microsoft never pulled the game from the online stores. After playing through 2077, i think it goes beyond a few bugs and glitches. The game is straight up unfinished as hell like it's still in Alpha. The AI in this game is so bad and clunky, the police spawn out of absolute nowhere and they don't even chase you by car if you're driving away and it's so easy to lose them. the physics are terrible borderline non existent in some areas- like water and car crashes and even bullet physics. Like if you shoot trees or cars or even water it does not even make splashes or leave bullet marks. CDPR ganked a shitload of us, and it's our fault for buying into the hype. It was absolutely unreal, they teased the game in 2013 but hadn't actually began working on it until 2016. I don't blame you if want to get a refund, I also wouldn't blame R* if they take advantage of the chaos and announce GTA 6

Leave the trolling to the professionals junior.
Nope, being pretty serious on this one. Fallout 4 might suck, but at least it runs decently and was finished. Cyberpunk aint neither of those. I dont care that much about the graphics. They released a game that wasn't finished and it shows.

I think 2077 shows that smaller games that put less focus on the world being large and more focus on other parts are usually better than those that focus on size. Compare Deus Ex to 2077 to see what I mean. Large maps are usually better suited to games like GTA, Far Cry and Just Cause.
Bethesda is even headed in the direction of these games in some ways with how shallow their stories and rp elements are getting with each new title. Morrowind and NV being the best examples of good rp in large, similar games.

Quality shoe box > Shitty, damp sandbox

In general, you likely will never find anything compelling from the AAA crowd, unless it's Nintendo. The best and most creative games I've ever played have come from fledgling A or AA developers, and not from massive Market monoliths like EA or Ubisoft churning out passionless games every year from overworked and underpaid devs.

Not gonna lie though, the yearly Call of Duty releases are certainly guilty pleasures of mine.

So apparently CDPR lost 1 billion in worth and the investors are considering suing CDPR. Big yikes.
