Cyberpunk 2077

I want to either be a suit wearing Man in Black who looks like Jason Statham and has a katana.

OR

I want to be Handsome Jack.

How quaint.

As Todd, I will always be able to tell sweet little lies that people will fall for no matter how illogical my lies are. Pete though... I'll probably be stoned to death the minute I start talking or tweeting.

Apparantly creating a good product and being pro-consumer enough doesnt equal good working enviroment for CDPR judging from the employee feedback so far..

Of course i do wanted if one could look at the feedback for the konami and bethesda, which imo i dont think it could be that more good :seriouslyno:

IIRC part of the issue lies with crunch time and the parts @Hassknecht mentioned above. Mr BTongue does talk about this issue of CDPR as well in the video below (after his bit on ME: Andromeda):

And the fact that glassdoors should be taken with bucket of salt. Literally anyone can apply a review there, it doesn't have any way to check if you worked or not.

Some tibits of info, also why are so many players so dumb, no retarded?!

I mean, Elder Scrolls or GTA SA progression system???

Those things sucked, Skyrim was a boring grindfest, where you crafted 10000 iron daggers and sneak attack critical against essential NPCs.

And GTA SA, where you lose your strength because you don't cycle every day or just spam the button to get stronger. It was annoying, tedious and added almost nothing to the game.

Fallout New Vegas has got better system, with skills, perks, SPECIAL - statistics and hardcore mod. Sure the engine is bugfest gamebryo but it has got one of the best foundations, with ammo types, damage threeshold and such. Please CDPR do it like New Vegas did it.

Because many players do not know what a RPG is.
Skyrim and GTA SA are not RPGs, they are open world, action, adventure games.

An RPG is a game where you create a character and choose their responses and actions.
Not really.

There are RPGs where you don't create characters and there are many you don't choose their responses either. jRPGs are notorious for both those things for example. Action RPGs like Diablo are also notorious for not having those. Many Tactical RPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics, Disgaea, Vandal Hearts, etc also don't allow those... And so on.

By that definition games like Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Saints Row IV or Dream Daddy () would be RPGs.

It is also the kind of game that ensures that said character can respond and act based on their role and skills rather than let them do everything at once.

And then there are the stuff @Risewild brought up. Especially with JRPGs.

I heard that even release in 2020 is to be doubted...

They've got problems with director who constantly fights with his own team, sudden idea changes, throwing prototypes away, etc.

In other words- its birth will be occupied with blood, tears and looot of time.

Eh... I'm suddenly getting Duke Nukem Forever flashbacks.

One thing I have to say is I'm really annoyed we've gotten nothing about 2077 since its announcement.
Too much communication can be just as annoying as too little though.

CD Projekt Red has not made many promises, and that's probably a good thing. It gives them the ability to adapt as needed without pissing off fans too much with the changes made during the development cycle.

Given how they evolved from The Witcher 1 to 3, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and all the development time they want to do what they aim to do.

"Initially CD Projekt RED planned to have ready demo Cyberpunk 2077 to E3 2017, however because of all problems any demo even and close was not by this time. Moreover, the last major presentation for developers from management reported a sudden change of direction. Instead of a game with a completely customizable protagonist, including the gender and class, the studio leaders decided to move to a pre-prepared character with an emphasis on the cinematic story in the spirit of Geralt. No classes. As a result, it turned out that the developers spent a lot of time wasted, creating the original prototype.."
Oh noes...

Yep, a Cyberpunk without the ability to make your character... I have the fear it will end up a "Witcher with guns", just like Fallout ended up a "TES with guns". Although the Witcher series is more appealing to me than TES one, I worry that this Cyberpunk will not be the P&P-like experience they hinted at the start.

So I have little faith that we will get a genuine cRPG from CDPR and will end up with another action RPG series (which are not my favorite).

But I am old and already got used to big companies not making cRPGs anymore, it is all action RPGs these days. :-(
