The National Socialist style would serve as a better enemy of the NCR and it serves as a more recent example of a system turning from ruin to prosperity. And given the abundance of pre-war tech, it would seem more likely.

I think the problem was there was never a lot of explanation in old enemies, Enclave and the Master were never flushed out that much. And the problem with the legion is you can side with them. And something that shallow just feels wrong since it's like killing someone without knowing the reason. Plus it would have been nice if we could have more info about why Caesar wanted his Legion the way it was more then just "I'm the boss and What I say goes" like some Cliche Gangster. But I think more branches like a female only clan would have been cool! Call me bias, but I'm sure some undressed women would give them a much better reason to fight then glory .

I don't think the Legion needs such a huge overhaul, we just need them to be fleshed out, I like the whole human vs human thing they made in New Vegas, without making the enemy into a huge Empire or a bunch of monsters, It fits better whith the themes of Fallout. I also don't think they need to get more "likeable" traits, but they suffer a lot from lack of focus, the Legion from Van Buren had things like cart made out of car chasises, we needed more intances of Terror tactics from the Legion as sidequests, I would add maybe some of those kamikaze children, even if they have to be tured into Kamikaze Legionaries, not necesarily a whole settlement in the Mojave, the Legion is after all an invading foce, but they sould of have more bases of operation, having a completely Legion controlled Casino, aside from Gomorrah of course.

Lol don't get mad. But Vegas makes sense. It's a decadent nightmare that asks (at least to me) if civilization is worth it if this is what happens to the people in it.

Is not that bad actually and as a human being I fully endorse sex. But if you really think about it, all races think and talk about sex and sexual behaviour.

Could we try and avoid bashing religions? Sabirah didn't say anything about repressing sexual urges, she just commented on something another poster said. They then talked about how they both thought vegas was digusting, being full of whores and such. I agree with Sabirah that New Vegas is decadent, and I'm not religious.

Well I always find it funny about religon and sex. For example, tons of people think my faith (Mormonism) is sexually repressed, when the reality is that they are quite open about it, just that your expected to be married first.

The Legion is actually a more stupid enemy then even the enclave in FO3, to be a good enemy, they had to have some reason other then personal charisma, Master had a idea of a uplifted humanity, the Enclave had the idea of purifying humanity. the Legion is a bunch of raping looting men in roman outfits.

Neo-luddites would be only one way the handle them, but it would be a ton better then what we have.

Most don't believe it, but even nihilists can be happy
The ability to develop religions helped humanity to carry the burden of self-consciousness and the philosophical questions it had no answers for.
But I don't doubt that at some point in the future, humanity (or what it succeeds) will have no need for religion anymore.
Not necessarily because all questions are answered (which might not even be possible) but merely because humanity will mature, spiritually, and will carry on without supernatural concepts.
Anyway, off-topic.

Personally, I kinda like the theme of the Legion, but I'd certainly tone down the roman style. Those armors and everything just look ridiculous. I'd rather have the Legion to be working to rebuild the roman empire and not to be a mobile army that just acquires slaves.

You got something wrong. Why would someone who hates organized religion, indoctrination, hypocrisy and systematic dogma implantation be cynical, hopeless or an atheist? Organized religion is the greatest evil to ever be created by mankind.
