Duke Nukem Forever

It would be an interesting style if they made him look like an action figure though, certainly a twist, or at the very least somewhat plastic from all the surgery he had to have to look that close to ol' Arnold that is! :D

Ah what am I saying, the only icon as badass as Duke would have to be Chuck Norris, he's no surgical wonder, he's all Duke! :D :P
 
I miss the good old times when different companies worked on different game engines and they all succeeded.

I remember a fanatic friend talking to me about this game and another one that would come out at same time (i think it was doom 3(?)) and man that was like 3 or 4 years ago.

3D Realms didn't want to release just "another one" they wanted impact and i'm just waiting to see if they done anything of that.

FPS game world is crowded and it's all about the same. Old wars, recent wars, jungle wars, alien wars and some silent-killing wars.

I miss the old days when a fps had story like half-life and an arcade fps was like doom/quake/duke. Not like painkiller and serious sam which is just "press w and mouse 1".

Isn't Half-Life a script-ridden story of an alien war? God, I hated that game. Every pixel I moved I was fearing an enemy onslaught and/or having half the scenery crashing down, complete with music queue at times.
 
Love it! Love it! Love it! That's duke on the spot alright! He's always been USA to the bone. It's an important element in the game.

I'm really looking forward to this. It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I'm all out of gum!

Well, i player it has a "kid" so it would probably be different today.
You had a lot of scenarios with lots of dialogs and scenarios with only pure carnage, mini-bosses here and there, puzzles and riddles, frightning sequences, etc. Overal, it amused me.
 
Release the damn game already. The trailer is not bad and I don't get why people are saying the graphics suck, looks good to me. I hope it's mostly the graphics that are being reworked because the old game looked friggin awesome:

A pity they only used 3-4 duke lines though, but still damn funny, a pity they had no idea who Duke is though :P

That looked great.

Hell, they even kept the Ripper (aka Chaingun cannon) and Shrinker intact.

It's a good thing that I have so much gum to tide me over till this baby comes out.
 
Oh my God that was gorgeous.

I can't wait for it to come out, it looks like good old Duke.
Let's just hope it's FOR REAL this time.
