Duke Nukem: Lost in New Vegas (Updated June 12th)

Could you say which mod change dialogue view? And make everything (fonts) smaller, especially in pipboy?
I'm using MTUI since release, but get bored with it and you know, it isn't amazing.
 
It's called Darnified UI, it's not on the nexus, just google Darnified UI New Vegas, and follow closely every step they tell you otherwise it won't work.
Also Gopher: http://www.youtube.com/user/GophersVids has some tuturoails on making Darnified work with other popular UI canging mods, like Project nevada an IHud.
 
Any thought on what you might want Duke to do, quest wise? I have him running New Vegas Bounties solos for now, to get him a way from the companions a bit. Any mods you might want to me to showcase Deathclaw Commander will be coming soon, but I'm looking for more.

Stable mods minds you. I did just find a mod that adds Mjolnir to the game. I could do a small Avengers guest spot where they get sent back home I guess.

As far as DLC, I think I'll save OLWB for last since he could probably develop tech thier to leave the Mojave for good. Honest Hearts will be more fun with lot's of carnage. Dead Money will be me barely surviving, (I'll have to bring one companion to carry my outfit). When I do Lonesome Road I'll definitely go with the Ulysses companion mod. Hell I considered Marcus from this one all ready.

Too many companions can make it suck though, that's why I'm giving Duek some alone time to rant a bit. Any thoughts guys? Critiques? Wishes? Requests?
 
Try the Inheritance, the thrid mod from the New Vegas Bounties mods. It only has one companion I think and has a lot of exploration.

Edit: Also the Saving Carla Boone mod, Alchestbreach reviewed it, and is very wacky despite the semingly serious sounding name.

Will do. Thanks. Hmmm..Saving Carla is TOO wacky, but inheritance is a must. I'll get to it after I bet both New Vegas bounties. The first couple have died so easy I barely got a screenshot lol! I need to raise the difficulty back up, but then it makes the pics harder to take. Eh. Oh well.
 
TorontRayne, I've got a couple of good mods for you if you need them.

Need more guns? AG supplementary uniques is the mod to go to. None of the guns break lore (they're all mash-ups of vanilla guns), many have some kind of backstory, and none are too overpowered. Plus, there's such awesome stuff in that mod! Rail guns, 75 mm cannons, a machine gun that shoots rockets, an assault cannon ripped straight from a plane, chainguns, etc. Plus, all of them have three weapon mods! Plus, you have to track down all of them (they are all unique), so while Duke is trekking over the place, he'll amass quite the collection :D. Oh, and there's more weapons for each DLC too, so he'll have more goodies to bring home from each DLC.

Need transport? Check out the XRE vertibird! Awesome weaponry, really well done controls, and tons of functionality. It's one of the best vehicles out there, at least if Duke fits in the pilot seat.

For some added flavour to Duke's rampages, try the Drugs are Bad, M'kay? mod. It adds visual effects to alcohol, chems, and medicines. It sure as hell splices up the gameplay.

BTW, kudos to you for the great playthrough! :D

Nice idea man. I did use Supplementary Unique's before, but I got bored with it. A few guns were crash happy too. I guess I could send Duke tripping in one update....

Things are going to be changing a lot very soon. More companions, more hi-jinx, more carnage , and.....flashbacks? The story will be taking a dark turn in the future with a big bad enemy working with a few eager allies. All hard t explain atm but the ideas are solid.

The mod combo allows for some interesting story telling besides the original story. I am actually considering the XRE Car atm , but am holding for now. I woud love to add the bike and a ghost rider armor. The armor looks pretty decent.
 
Will Duke be actively pursuing one of the main quest lines to change the fate of New Vegas? Or will he only be trying to return home?
 
You don't need to use some whackass tutorial from Gopher, because Gopher A) condensed his useful UI mods into a singular, wonderful mod called oHud or oneHud (iHud, aHud, Primary needs) and also started the uHud project, which is basically a standard for UI mods with a FOMOD installer (uHud itself) that will go and make sure all of your UI files aren't fucked up.
 
@ Wintermind: Yeah I did use a lot more UI mods at one point, but the screen clutter bothered me, and I didn't want a UI that hides either. Gopher's tutorial are helpful though.

@SixthRanger: Duke will be playing all the angles and run Vegas for himself in the end. Not a big surprise there huh?
 
My UI mods are fairly simple, since I really only get by on oHud/Darn/PN, but there are little things that count like Selective Fire or QuickTrade. Well that and one mod that makes it so that "take all" is 'f' instead of 'a'. But that's more of a quick and dirty hand edit.

There's a shitload of support for a variety of things though, so that's very nice. I prefer a minimalistic approach, so I keep it as hidden as possible.

Yeah I feel ya, but you have to take into account, I have to use whatever guns I have ammo for. I already removed 20 guns just for your sake mind ya!

I'm so excited about these next updates. Over 450 pictures to upload before I get to the parts I really want to do though :(...

Let's just say Duke Nukem won't be the only action FPS dude running around.
