Emil Pagliarulo impromptu fan Q&A

Well, one thing I can give Emil credit for is having the guts to come here and pretty much tell us we were right about "oblivion with guns" all along. Also, it was nice of him to actually address critics instead of just answering "beth friendly" f3 questions.

Okay, greatest source of inspiartion besides Fallout... Honestly? Life. People I've met, places I've been, things I've done, emotions I've felt. You can't beat true human experience for true inspiration. At least, I can't.

Oh so that's were he got the granny decapitation idea.

That's a really fair question, and one that's obviously come up a lot. The answer for us is pretty simple -- no other post-apocalyptic world would have been nearly as awesome as Fallout. No Vault Boy, no S.P.E.C.I.A.L., no futuristic 1950s vibe. We specifically wanted to make Fallout 3 for all those reasons and more; if the license weren't important to us, we could have made a post-apocalyptic game a long time ago.

I would like to know what this shit is? ^ as Beth owns the IP for fallout and as such can't (to my knowledge) sew themselves for making a game that infringes on the fallout IP.

he makes it sound like Vault Boy, S.P.E.C.I.A.L, and a futuristic 1950s vibe given different names is impossible to implement into a game without the fallout name...like legions of gaming angels will destroy them if they even think about it...maybe they know somthing I don't
