I mean, he's a member of UKIP, as is Tommy Robinson, whom he became fast friends with after the whole Nazi dog thing. HAHAHA it was all just a joke, nothing to see here.
 
Maybe some people just don't find HAHA GAS THE JEWS that funny. Seems kinda reasonable to me.
 
It's pretty stupid to arrest someone for an unfunny attempt at an edgy joke (Or fine them as it later turned out). But the guy did join an alt right party and became a poster boy for them so part of me suspects it might have been a deliberate move on their part. Gotta be careful with those white european boys being "Ironically nazis" on youtube specially if they look like douchebags with ear gauges, like 90% of them have turned out to be actual alt righter douchebags.

People need the one or other genocide to happen in their back-yeard to realize, why it might a good idea to have a few laws against throwing out slurs like "Let us kill race YXZ!" into the public or de-humanizing whole groups.

How hard is it to understand the joke? It's in the absurdity of teaching a dog a movement that is deemed crass and offensive. The dog doesn't understand any of it, of course, and it being a pug in particular makes it especially ridiculous. The absurdity also lies in the whole interaction with his girlfriend, in the "hey honey, I had a GREAT idea" kind of sense on which bullshit follows. I'm sure the real reason for the whole stunt is some Magick Thelema occult ritual to turn the world into nazis again, but maybe, just maybe, a professional shitposter and edgelord teaching a dog the nazi salute isn't really meant as a endorsement of actual national socialism.

Kind of a non-sequitor here.
As much problem as most other countries here. They exist and they are growing worryingly, but not to a degree where there are death squadrons roaming the streets killing undesirables. Pretty sure a Heil-Hitlering pug on the Internet won't increase the risk of that happening.
We do have too much rightwing violence, although I guess not more than any other country.
