Endurance Fallout 4 SPECIAL video

Since every character starts with 200 health, two in this stat is enough, sans Perks that used to be non-stat locked.

Non run and gun or melee builds in 3 and New Vegas are best with low Endurance. It makes sense, and it's certainly not a bad thing.

In the E3 demo, PC "Howard" started with 2 end and 90 hp. I just hope that it won't have some android compatible dovakhiin system. You start of with 28 points (out of 70?), and with the collection of android parts you get +1 to stat or maybe if you get 100 rad you can do fus ro dah equivalent...
This special videos are a nice promo, but they get old fast. Maybe 1-3 videos to get them all done rather then a video per stat.

Speaking from a purely min-max perspective, it seems like in New Vegas because you would want a lot of endurance because of how number of implants is capped by endurance. So if you need say PER 6 to get a perk you want, you'd be better off setting your perception to 5 and putting that extra point in endurance. It's the tradeoff of 1 PER and 4000 caps or 1 PER and 1 END, and caps aren't that useful in NV past a point.

So I guess this means there will be some form of Primary Needs system in this one? Or is this just gonna be like Skyrim where you can cook shit but there is no reason to? They also seem to be implying we are back to just finding 200 year old food or eat mutated animal meat...

To me, it seems a primary needs system is returning from FONV, but they have nothing to lose by simply saying "Yes, there is a primary needs system."

Seems like a dump stat unless you're a run-n-gunner.
So it's only use is to get health and become a cannibal if you care about that sorta thing?

I am hoping that their focus on the END related Cannibalism perk is because END will be used to dictate hardiness towards disease and sickness. I am always up for emergent gameplay in my games, especially since FO3 and NV lack any real emergent gameplay.

Nah, it's just that perks are locked behind SPECIAL ranks, so if you have 8 in END you can get the 8th rank END perks (or as they made an example before, starting with 10 Perception, you can get Sniper at lvl 2) and Cannibal seems to be a perk like that. Guess there are no other selling points...

We know it's going to be just like F3, but with better graphics. For F3 fans, this is more than enough.

Whatever happened to wanting to know about something you were going to pay money for?

Like, do these people not realize that Bethesda isn't their buddy?

That they're not going to give them the game out of the goodness of their heart, but because people are going to pay for it?

I for one, like to know about the game that my money is going towards.

You know, like seeing more than five minutes of gameplay and having an understanding of the mechanics and systems that compromise the game.

But nope.

They're just going to go straight for the mystery box.

Hardcore confirmed? I don't think they would put primary needs in the game without it. That would be too tedious for the brain dead.

Well, F3 and Skyrim didn't have primary needs but still had food items. So it doesn't say much. What is confirmed is 200 year old food though.

They'll argue that seeing some trailers or info would be misleading to the final game so by knowing almost nothing about the game is a good thing so you don't have overblown hype.
I also prefer to know what I'm buying before blindly giving my money up like some brain dead drone.
