FacetiousF*ckBoy's Fallout 4 review

Dragon inspired? Hmm?
There is a lot of dragon aesthetic for their waterworks though visually, they seemed to be inspired by a mix of ancient Roman and Asian appearances (I think it was Japanese last time I checked). Been a while since I was reading about Morrowind, mind you.

Oh I see, yeah I though you were talking about some other IP.

I do like their architecture though, it's nice, unique and idyllic.

I think this is where I got the dragon aesthetic thing:
http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Pocket_Guide_to_the_Empire,_First_Edition:_Cyrodiil

Akaviri dragon-motifs are found in all quarters, from the high minaret bridges of the Imperial City to the paper hako skiffs that villagers use to wing their dead down the rivers. Thousands of workers ply the rice fields after the floodings, or clear the foliage of the surrounding jungle in the alternate seasons. Above them are the merchant-nobility, the temple priests and cult leaders, and the age-old aristocracy of the battlemages. The Emperor watches over them all from the towers of the Imperial City, as dragons circle overhead
This sounds way cooler and far more interesting than what we got in Oblivion.

Ive never played morrowind. I probably should though, right?
If you do, my recommendation would be to avoid MGSO, specifically it is a selection of one preference, but like all Elder Scrolls games, it is better to customize to your liking. It's also good to know what the base game has in it. For the longest time I used a mod to 'fix' the combat system because I didn't like how Bethesda set it up. I got to a point where I felt that the enemies were overpowered, it was because that mod broke the core function of the game. I recommend leaving the combat as is. It's frustrating when you start, but oh so rewarding mid to end game. My favorite games of all time are Morrowind, Fallout 2 and New Vegas if that says anything, and I'll be playing Morrowind again very soon :) I definitely have over 1000 hours in it and most of that is from the last few years

Thanks for the tip. f I mod anything itll be graphics and bug fixes only. Ill get to know the actual game before I fuck around with it.

Look up morrowind screenshots. The game has wonderfully varied art style. Depending on where you are in the game people's clothes, architecture, demeanor, and even the land around you can be vastly different.
And nothing is procedurally generated which is very nice imo, every npc has a name and it doesn't level with you so you will get owned if you are too weak or in the wrong spot, you can even fail every quest.

That's Why I despise 1&2. Not a big fan of procedurally generated content. I really like 3&4 though. That's about it. Skyrim was meh.

I love how derailed every thread gets here. Lmao

1, 2, 3, 4?
Not sure what you're asking...

To clear it up I did Not enjoy arena or daggerfall.

I did like morrowind (my personal favorite) and oblivion was basically saved by great quest design and it's cities.

Skyrim was fun and all but it ultimately removed everything in liked about oblivion (and oblivion had already removed most of what I liked about morrowind) and thus Skyrim is just meh.
