Bug in the quest with the "new party" in the den, after killing Tylor and quest is over I cant get out of the house then some of the gang member stay in front of the door and wont move then I give them the order to.

Incredible. I was just about to take up playing again, and went here to check for patches, and I find this. If this is the best game ever, then this project is certainly the best mod ever.

EDIT: I have no experience with Fallout 2 mods, so I'm going to go ahead and ask 2 stupid questions I couldn't find in the Expansion installer.

1. I couldn't find the rock outside the temple on the start screen that tells you the expansion was installed. (The main title was changed, though.) So I'm worried the expansion didn't install correctly (see below). Could someone tell me exactly where the rock is?

2. I installed by installing the Expansion to an empty folder and then copying all v1.05 files to that folder without overwriting. Was this a bad move? Should I have made a fresh install from the CD and then installed the Expansion into the same folder as the game?

EDIT: Never mind, after making a fresh install from CD and then installing the Expansion in the same folder the rock is easily findable. So installing the Expansion over 1.05 does not work.
 
Hi, fantastic game! Unfortunately I got headache just before New Reno - I'm not used to that many possibilities (Fallout1 was OK). So excuse me if I ask what was the true purpose of the valults? (Of course in PM)

Actually, you can read about this on Wikipedia.

I, too, would like to thank you, Killap, for all this hard work you have done for the community :) You truly are one of a kind :)
 
very nice and thank you for your work.

just a small complaint, seems if i use inventory editor and give myself a weapon, the game crashes after equipping. i dont know if save game editor or editing other items causes crashes too as i couldnt try.
 
I have a few issues regarding Kaga, the not-so-chosen one.

First, I saved a game after he entered combat in case I got killed. When I reloaded he suddenly left combat and started his monologue all over again. I tried to reenter combat while he was talking (something impossible to do when you meet him at first) and landed a few hits on him but he just left combat again to continue blathering. Finally, when he came to the point where he would attack I had apparently inflicted enough damage for him to enter "this battle will take longer yadda yadda" mode and ran away.

Secondly, RIGHT after I defeated him the first time I encountered him again, this time in armour and wielding a shotgun. After he had effortlessly killed me I reloaded (which caused the above to happen). This time I did not meet him again before getting to Klamath so I guess it's just a random case of bad luck, but still: Can I expect to meet him sporting Power armour and Vindicator before getting to Gecko?

Lastly, I once tried to run away from him instead of attacking. It worked, but immediately after that I had another encounter in the middle of the desert whith nothing else around. Kind of weird.

I had the same empty encounter issue after he fleed from the battle (first kaga encounter). Could not reproduce it though.




Two issues:

-I had a encounter with farmers vs. geckos near the Modoc. Farmers draw their guns but then they just run away from geckos and won't fight back, even if geckos are attacking them.

-After solving the ghost farm quest and bringing Johnny back to his parents, there are two laddies next to Johnny.

What I did was:

-Accept ghost farm quest from Jo.
-Talking Balthas and agree to find Johnny (laddie didn't go with me).
-Went well, took the rifle and gave it to Balthas.
-Went ghost farm, took message from slag leader, talked to Johnny.
-Went Modoc, talked to Jo and told about slag deal, fake bodies and Karl in Den.
-Talked Balthas, told him Johnny is alive.
-Went ghost farm, told slag leader good news, asked to take Johnny back to home.
-After that, your back to Modoc and there is two laddies next to Johnny.

Using installer version, no extra features installed. I have savegames for both of these issues, if you need them.
 
I want to thank you for all the work you put, and tell you that I will really enjoy playing f2 again after 2 years.

Use the B-team mod that comes with the installer if you plan to use the expansion. If you are just running the patch, use the b-team mod from my sig.

Kaga will increase in difficulty as you progress through the game. And no, I did nothing with the Pip rifle.

Not sure. I never had such problems. Still, NEVER save while in combat. Ever. This is something that ALWAYS causes crazy things to occur in the game. Not a problem due to my code, but how the engine works.

Which editor are you using? If you are using the Fallout Character Editor, then it has these issues sometimes. Just run FALCHE2 after you make the edits and change all your stats which have for some reason been changed to values >20. This happens to me with FCE and running FALCHE afterwards fixes the problem. Still, I make no guarantees with edits since I didn't code them and thus can offer no real support.

Can you tell me exactly what happened. The gang members should teleport back to the church. I take it Lara died perhaps?

Fast question, should I first install the 1.02e official patch or install your expansion right on the non-patched fallout2?

My expansion is all that you need. It comes with my unofficial patch (which also includes the official 1.02 patch) I suggest using the installer.
 
Lara was still alive, she was one of them that was in the way, but true one in the gang did die, was only 3 left alive. What happen was the battle ended and they was starting to get out of the place but someone got in the way for the other so he just stopt.

And the gang don't (the one ure with) start the the same place all the time at the party, tho if I try to trade tylor they all teleport in the same way every time.

Well, it's fine if members of your gang die. There was no dialogue initiated by Lara though? She should if you are near her. I will look into it though. Everything worked for me when I was testing it a few days ago.
 
i used f2ie2 the inventory editor. and tried giving myself a bozar at the start,whenever i equipped it my character became invisible and crashed when i try to do any action.
 
Are there any screenshots of the new areas? For as long as this has been in development I couldn't find a single one. I only ask because I'm currently replaying Fallout 1 with some mods and want a few pics to keep me interested in continuing with the sequel. Knowing me, I'll probably forget about your mod for a year before I get around to trying it.

There is no big gun animation for a tribal when you start the game. At least get through the Temple before you try to equip it. Then it won't crash.
