Umm..not sure. Are you using the installer? Did you install any extras? Use any character editors?

Fantastic stuff, I've told whoever would listen for years that Fallout 2 had enough unfinished/intended things left over to damn near warrant a whole new release, and you made it reality.

Played through Arroyo, Klamath, the Den, and at the Primitive Tribe right now. In regards to what was said before, about the fight at Tyler's party, in general, it all works fine, but what might be the problem is that Tyler's friend (great attention to detail by the way, including the friend he mentions) runs off the moment the fight starts, and Lara won't consider it finished until he's dead. He just keeps running, so it's kind of a pain, but I got lucky (he tried running into the Orphanage....I actually felt alarmed at that for a minute, "My god, the kids!"...thankfully, Sulik cut him off at the door, while I introduced him to the Desert Eagle I picked up from Tyler) and killed him before he could get off-screen. That may have been random, but I'd imagine that's why someone can't get that quest to end right. Seeing as that guy also carries a Desert Eagle and has decent HP, I dunno, maybe he should fight as well? Don't know if him running is intentional or not though.

Besides that, the Den feels far more fleshed out now, did the Orphanage quest without a hitch, and Anne's Diary is a nice hint (though I imagine someone playing through this release doesn't likely need it, of course), the only thing I've found so far that doesn't seem to be working is the well at the Primitive Tribe. It says it's missing a bucket and rope, both of which I have, but using them on it, or repairing, or anything else I try, doesn't seem to have any effect. Might be nothing, just giving whatever feedback I can though.

Again, excellent job, I've been following the news on this a hell of a lot more than I have Fallout 3 to be honest, and it doesn't disappoint in the least, thank you.
 
I had a fresh fo2 install, then used the installer and with it installed all the extras.
Could give a quick link to a savegame if needed.
 
yeah fallout 3 should have this engine style developed....

This patch doesnt support the increase of resolution patch right??

Well, it's fine if members of your gang die. There was no dialogue initiated by Lara though? She should if you are near her. I will look into it though. Everything worked for me when I was testing it a few days ago.

oh it works find, i just re-played it. would be nice tho if you made it so it could not end like that, like add one more door.

New bug:
A mantis just hit me for about, lets look,7696217 hit points, and i did not die or lose any hit points. :twisted:

now it happened again, this time with some rangers and the master army. I use the AP damage fix from the install, might be that.

Correct, no res patch is included. You could mess with things in the ddraw.ini file. It is the one Timeslip made and he does support some different resolutions.

I cannot remember if I asked you but are you using any of the extras? Like the ammo mod?

EDIT: after my cash went under the silver gecko price, i had to have sex with a trapper for the golden pelt... guess its just a messed up variable that instead of checking the sex thing for the golden pelt cash checks for the silver one and since cash cant go negative then it doesnt take any money from the char.

Ok, this was actually an error in the original game, not my patch or expansion. The issues was that the same checked used for how much money you had was the same for both the silver gecko and golden gecko pelts. Thus you were paying for the price of the silver, but getting gold.
 
Hello, there. I'm a Fallout 2 fan for some time now and thankfully i've discovered this project only a few days ago, so i didn't have to wait too long for this 'expansion pack' to appear. It's a great idea and i applaud it. Congratulations!

I have encountered this issue: sometimes, enemies who swing at me and deal no damage, but the message screen writes that the respective creature deals 7696217 dmg. (wrote it down, it says the same thing every time so i thought it might mean something)... It happens the other way around too, while fighting unarmed, the screen says i'm dealing 32 dmg, while the enemy remains unharmed. (i am using all the mods, including the ammmo mod)

I think i have found 3 bugs at the Abbey.

1. Brother Samuel (the gravekeeper) will say the same things after you've completed his quest and his quest will become as unsolved again in the pipboy. I did not check if the beggar appears again after that.

2. The library computer on the second level of the Abbey is accesible at any moment you use it, even though it is supposed to be accessed after the completion of a quest for the guy on level 3.

3. There is a problem in the basement of the Abbey. The corpses dissapear when some time has passed after you first enter the basement, like normal (victimised) corpses, and they dissapear together with the items they are carrying. They act as if they had been killed recently, not as if they were part of the enviroment... (some bodies only leave behind only a knife, thus you can lose a quest item and other stuff). The quest item is there if you loot the monk's body before it dissapears. (i don't think this is intended to happen this way)

The other quests seemed to work allright.

Ok, several reports about odd damage issues. Seems that the ammo mod is not working correctly. Again, this is an extra, so it is not required to play the expansion. I shall remove this from the installer and see what can be done about it.

Hmm. This was actually reported in a beta run and I thought I fixed this. Apparently not. Oh, well things like this happen.

Ah, I would have to double check but I think I know the issue. I was testing something and had removed the check to make things easier for me. Seems like I forgot to put it back in...

The item should remain though. I also thought I removed the option of bodies decaying. I will have to check this again.
 
I will look into the AP ammo mod, but the fix should not affect any weapons that do not use ammo.

I got your message and tested the save. I did not get a crash. How are you handling the situation? Are you running from him? Fighting him?
 
everytime i try to go from the diffrent parts of arroyo with a flint in my inventory the game crashes. dont know what causes this.

i installed all the extras. and i used the instaler.
 
yes i am fighting...the first time i defeat him and the game only crashed when i step into the exit grid, after that it crashes during combat....

Only with flint? Are we sure everything installed correctly? Did you see the rock by Klint? Can you send me a save game?

Damn, I am not sure what to say. I just tested fighting him and it worked. I killed him and left the map just fine. Another time it was a draw, he left, and I was still able to exit without a crash. Perhaps try uninstalling the mod (run the uninstaller from the Fallout 2 folder) and then reinstall without the ammo mod (I doubt it is it, but doesn't hurt to try). Your saves will remain during the uninstall so don't worry.
