Update on Karl/Ghost Farm bug

Hmm, well I tried some other dialogs in The Den and other places and it seems like a lot might have 'reset' - I don't know if it's supposed to and I don't know why that would happen but, eg when I go see Mom she says that whole thing about being my mom, etc which I went through right at the beginning, yet I've done a bunch of quests for her.

In any case, Jo was able to be told and Modoc was saved so I haven't had any game stopping bugs so far (including many that people in this thread have mentioned). Pretty good.

No, no need to restart the game. Just copy the three files over and you are good to go.

Make a Stimpack (might be intentional as for Stimpack it was 'Make a stimpack').


Wounded hunter in cave in Primitive Tribe :

Sulik when rejoining after sister's rescue :

Bugs :

After uploading Botany info into Abbey computer 'back' dialogue option goes to rock, paper, scissors game not main menu (:p not important but still...)

After the upload Paul's dialogue line leading to Botany quest is still available allowing you to take the quest again (did not bother to check if you could get new holo disk from EPA though).

I could not finish the second ranger quest where you assault the slavers camp where Sulik's sister is held. I slew the slavers (none escaped) and freed the slaves but Rangers at NCR don't accept the quest as complete (get just the float I should hurry up). Just to make sure I also destroyed Den's slave camp and released the slaves there too but no go.

Also is the EPA overriding password limited use only or is there another pass for some of the doors as I was unable to get in them (The one next to room with long conference table and world map, the garden and creature holding pen next to it and the room with beeping computer probably related to helping the sick man in New Reno)?

Speak more to Sulik, and find out what an amazing character he is. This is not a typo.
 
Petrel obviously have not talked to Sulik often enough :wink:

And Killap, about certain doors in EPA, I beg you to tell us how to open it, even if it's spoiler. Those are botanical garden door, one of the conference room (opposite the electric chair room), and one other. We just dont know how to open them at all.

pleeease?! or is it a bug caused by bad install? though I installed the packas instructed in the readme/forum

Vertiplans works now. (Plans still in inventory after talking to Matthew)

Somebody please direct me to the ghoul in gecko related to the Vault Village quest. I tried talking with every resident in all areas including the plant, but in vain.. can't find the guy.

I visited Vault 15 few months after I convinced them to join NCR and my car trunk diasapears every time I enter. Didnt happen before they "redecorate" the place
 
Hello,

i play the german version and i try to figure out how to play you mod in german. the most problems are solved. The only point is the dialog folder. Is it possible to use only the needed *.msg for the new content? if i erase the dialog folder in the text folder the old content is okay and in german, but the new content only shown as error (sure it have to be). if the dialog folder stay in the text folder, no errors but the hole content (old and new) is in english. maybe you can provide a list of the *.msg, so that only the new content is english. Maybe you can help me.

Is the next patch coming out soon? I planned on waiting till the first couple batches of bugs were cured so i could feed my other addictions. I plan on waiting for the next patch and then reinstalling everything and playing my guts out!
 
Slaver camp crash/bug

Hi,

I just started re-playing FO2 with the expansion. I must say it is damn worth re-playing! Good job, nice work, etc....

On to my issue.

I killed the slaver head in The Den, freed the slaves, blah blah. I then found out I have the Slaver's Camp location in my map. And since it's on the way to the Primitive Tribe, I decided to stop by and clear the place.

Option 1 - I killed all the slavers, found the keys and freed the slaves. However, Sulik's sister will not leave the cage and the option I have is "wait here..." or something.

So I reloaded to the point before I open the shack. I asked everybody to leave and then crash.

Ok, option 2 - walked in and say I have slaves for offer. Talked to Dan saying The Den wants more slaves. So I was given the keys to the cage. Once I asked the slaves to leave, it crashed.

Anybody has this problem? Or am I doing this part out of order?
I can always skip this and come back later. BTW, is the slaves time-based or they will always be in the cage?

tomten, have you ever read the entire thread of v1.0 and 1.1 pack? I assure you if killap ban repeat offenders he will kill at least half of the participants. The moment you read those threads are the moment you must be prepared to be spoiled. Dont want to be spoiled? Dont read. :|

WEll, that aside, about the questions concerning gameplay, there IS a gameplay thread. So all the questions about quests and stories should be directed there.

And last word, the question about a Cryo tank is quite original as I didnt remember anyone ask about it. I guess we are just too preoccupied with the garden door.

Version 1.2 should be up by next Monday, maybe earlier if I get through quickly the last few things that need to get done. Honestly there don't seem to be that many real reports coming in anymore so I think we are ready for another release. Perhaps after this I can write a basic walkthrough explaining what stats/items are needed to get complete all the quests and get through the new areas.
 
Sweet man, of course do whatever works for you
you have already done far more than anyone else for this game (well besides the original creators, even then probably as much or more than many of them)

anyway, i hear you are busy with university and what not, having a life outside of this is a good thing so whatever you trickle on down is cool and worth whatever wait involved

the guide would be especially awesome after a while, sooo much of Fallout 2 opened up to me once i started reading the guides months after my first play through

can't wait to test out your next patch

Might be a good idea to re-install the game & expansion.

Killap can you answear 3 questions?
1.Do we need to re-install game & expansion?
2.Old saves will work?
3.I know im whining but Bozar will still be burst fire?:)

And killap great work as a complement i can say your mod is first and atm last im using :)

Aren't you jumping the gun here? I at least was asking if the specific password was supposed to work on those doors or not. If there's another password somewhere (or another mean of opening them, or even no means at all) I'm fine with that. If it's a bug on the other hand then it should be fixed for 1.2. Fact that others have said they've gotten in some of those areas but not some I've gotten in using the pass adds to confusion (reason for asking if pass has some use limit not indicated in game).

Well you posted in wrong thread again you should post here in Fallout 2 Restoration Project Gameplay Thread...its so hard for you i dont read gameplay thread for some reason and atm you pissing me quite much...maybe tomten was right ban is right for you...

And you are obviously missing the point or misread my post. I'm not asking spoiler (I'm not asking who to get the information to open the doors or how to open them), I'm simply asking if the password in question is supposed to open the doors. If it is are, there's obviously a bug there.

Simple aswer would be : yes it's supposed to work on them, I'll look into it or no there's another way. Case closed. (doesn't count as spoiler at least for me.)
