Killap, again, on the Marcus armor:

can you give us the DR/DT of the armor?

Marcus stage five has following innate DR/DT:

Normal 40/5
Laser 60/8
Fire 30/4
Plasma 50/4
Explosion 40/6
Electric 50/2

Yes that makes him tougher than Standard power armor Sulik, by the way (check my NPC analysis for proof) in terms of effective HP. Still weaker than Hardened Power Armor Sulik though.

So anyway, how does the armor work? Does it add a bonus DR/DT or just overrides those values above and replaces them with the armor DR/DTs?
 
Dogmeat K-9 Armor and Marcus Armor adds the following perks:

Toughness - Only first level (in the script I see a 3 after this, if that was meant to give all three levels it ain't working).
Dodger
Stonewall
Dermal Impact Armor
Dermal Impact Assault Enhancement
Phoenix Armor Implants
Phoenix Assault Enhancement

You can find out exactly what each perk does here and count for yourself.
 
It would be better to simply create a perk for each armor using sfall. This way it could be better balanced. Talking about balance, Marcus' armor should have small effects (or possibly good armor boost with -AP), because Marcus is already strong compared to the other NPCs. And Dogmeat's armor should be strong, because Dogmeat is very weak.
 
got a problem , in first city after the tribe, kalmath, and i stole a key and shot some rats in a locked area and trying to go down to kill what i hear is this big rat, game crashes to black. assuming i need to get the quest first lol i'll try that and other things that dont crash the game before going back hehe

EDIT: sorry i wasn't installing properly or removing the patch.dat file, done that and now it says RP in the bottom corner yay!!!

Now I try to get the hi res to work :)

ignore above, it was a crash from the original game lol, I thought I was playing RP.. but felt like it wasnt haha!
 
I did calculate the effective HP for those perks for Marcus.

I suspect the game resets them after level up though, so I guess the only proper moment to get the armor for Marcus is after he reaches his final fifth level.

Check his EHP with the armor:

Against plasma rifle: 747 ehp
against gauss rifle: 477 ehp

which is higher than hardened power armor Sulik for plasma and higher than advanced power armor Sulik for gauss rifle

Sulik HPA: 573 for plasma, 309 for gauss
Sulik APA: 1248 for plasma, 377 for gauss

I must say that if this works, Marcus finally is as tough as you would want him to be.

Sounds cool, but I think that most people, including myself, like to get Marcus into that armor as soon as they recruit him to increase his defensive skills and because he looks really cool in it~~! I think that it would kinda suck if he had to be wandering around without his armor until he reached his maximum level, which is most likely in end of game (if ever). Is there any way to prevent the game from resetting them?

They actually gets reset, or well, they keep the perks but loses the bonuses. And like I said before, a couple of the perks are supposed to be higher than first level, but that is easy to fix at least.

I think Killap has gone into one of his inactive periods in favor of RL. It's been four weeks since I'm waiting him to see the Unofficial Patch thread and reply me. This means bigger delay for RP. :(

At least he knows when to delay hobbies in favor of RL, unlike me.

When I last spoke to Killap, he said he is indeed very busy with "RL", but he still hopes to have 1.3 out before the end of the year.

You're making the big assumption that by the time it actually comes out you'll still have tastebuds.
 
Of course, you're right Blowfish64. His project is dead. Nothing for us to do but wait for your project to come out. And, how is that coming along? I mean, you must have something in the works. Hell, you could have completed a total conversion in the time that Killap has just been working on 1.3, right? :roll:
