Sweet! Work on 1.3 won't commence again until no earlier than next weekend. Deadline for release is end of September even if this means leaving some new content out.
 
I keep reading about where to get the special armor for Marcus but I thought I heard something about special armor for dogmeat. Was I mistaken about that? If not, where can it be acquired?
 
How does one get to the Brain? I've been wandering around in Gecko holding on to this Ankh. I heard something from the only human in the area about noises in the Reactor pit late at night(which I figured is that big hole reactor like looking area in the junkyard). So I've been kinda wandering around there till late at night to no avail.

I've already fixed the reactor and optimized it so would that affect it?
 
Is it possible to correct Sulik so he can use the .223 gun again?

This is buggy...even wenn start with 10 AP + 2 bonus move and not used, you loss the bonus move wenn quickload...

Please look at it...
 
My Sulik can still use the .223 pistol.... but then I applied the 'unofficial patch' and then applied the whole restoration patch. Which I heard that you're not quite supposed to so my game might be whacked up.

Although my Sulik can't use knives. Or more correctly, he'll equip a knife by himself as he sees fit, but I can't get him to use a knife by telling him to use his 'best weapon'. A knife doesn't register as a weapon he can use under combat tactics, but he seems capable of using it via his own free will.
 
Okay, so I am probably blind or something, missing something very obvious, but ever since installing the restoration mod, I can't get past the second door in the temple, the one you have to blow open with explosives. I've tried lockpicking it too, nothing happens. When blowing up the explosives in front of the door like I used to with a vanilla FO2, the only thing I get is a message saying "The door has no more scratches left". I've looked everywhere on the map, and I cant find a switch or anything.... Is this a bug, or am I just blind?

EDIT: Okay, apparently my FO2 installation was borked, a clean install fixed my problem.
 
Reinstalled and now Sulik wearing the .223 pistol :)

Correction, i opened F2Wedit, filter on weapons and closed. All weapons are resetted. Didnt even change a thing. And also the pro files are read only.

Very weird.

But another thing is: Wenn ask Sulik what kind off weapon he can use, he say:
Spear, Big Hammer & Sub Machine Guns.
So...

Sulik changing weapons - I have noticed that when Sulik changes from an SMG to a melee weapon he will not automatically switch back to his gun, I have to go to combat control and tell him to use best weapon. That's part of Sulik's/Fallout2 scripts, you can't set Sulik to "Ranged," its "Ranged then Melee" so he will naturally switch from SMG to melee as is his preference. To Fix: don't put melee weapons on him and the you'll be fine.

An easier way is add best_weapon=Ranged in the party.txt

You must have Dogmeat with you and then go to the Broken Hills and talk to the shopkeeper there and ask for "something special" or whatever it was.

Yes, but even then you be killed by burst fire :D

Ranger Safe Houses:
There is a map on a table in the back room of the building where you meet the Rangers in NCR. 'Using' this map will put the locations of the 3 safe houses on your world map.

Save houses still not popup at the worldmap. What do i need to do?


What happend with the Masticator script? He not bite ears anymore, also all boxers easy to knock them out. Not possible get bonus for killing them too.

you need to 'use' the map - (right click on the map and select the open hand icon)

Well i used the Binoculars on it but still nothing happens.
Right mouse click not give me a open hand on the map.
I always had that problem with all the games i played... how come?
Other maps are fine.
 
@ Limbabnees,
Right click the item in your inventory to get the binoculars, then hold down the left mouse button, an icon menu will appear. Move down to the hand icon and let go of the button. It's all very simple, really. :P
 
No open hand icon, like other maps (SF-Raiders Base)

I understand the open hand issue, but if i say it wont appear... well what then?

Are we talking about the same map? The Ranger's Map with the codes?
 
I find that during boxing, if you get one of those 1-hit-KO criticals that outright kills them... the game kinda bugs out and you're stuck in the boxing ring. That said, those criticals seem to happen a heck lot more than usual. Maybe its because I have the Better Criticals perk.

That said, how the heck do you get into the EPA? I tried dynamiting the elevator open. Sciencing it tells me the doors are jammed and that the elevator cart is gone, but thats not very helpful. I need a keycard to get through that random door as well.
 
So... uhm... I'm sorry to bring this up again, but how can I change the "unlimited exp computer" in the Vault City to give me unlimited exp once again, killap?

How about moving vialocom.int out from your script folder? I haven't tried it but I think it should work.
