Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.2 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Hi everyone, I had a question but...

first off, I'd really like to thank Killap for creating the Fallout 2 Restoration Project. IMO, Fallout 2 was one of the greatest games ever made and finishing some of the content and adding some new stuff makes the game fresh! I eagerly wait for 1.3 to come out!

second, I've really been stumped by this, and I tried to look through NMA through the search function on the use of the Army Technical manuals, operations manual, and army survival manual. Whenever I use it, it says that nothing happens. I was wondering is there a specific use for them?

I understand the open hand issue, but if i say it wont appear... well what then?

Are we talking about the same map? The Ranger's Map with the codes?

At least the Safe Houses appears on the map.

As far as I know there is no use for them.
 
Found something, not sure if it's a bug...
Vic only pick Energy Rifles wenn wear the Bridgekeeper's Rope or Power armour.
Vic dont has a Head on the Power Armour so he can pick Energy Rifles.

Sulik or Cassidy not. Has something to do with Frame animation of the new armour with the heads.
 
I'm not sure if anyone has encounted this problem before or not. I just installed Fallout 2 and then added the RP mod. Nothing else added. Lord is Kaga a nasty encounter early in the game. :P

Anyway, like I said I've just started.. and came to a crashing halt, since for some reason I can't enter Klamath. Tried going back to Arroyo, and no problem entering the village, but I can't enter the first Town in the game, so am pretty much stuck. :(
 
After using Psycho lost next day 3 agility, even i had 10 before using Psycho.
Now have 7 agility.
Needed reload previous save game.

Maybe you got a Psycho addiction?
 
As an update, I decided to reinstall.. no change, then I wandered to the Den, and I can't get into there either. :(

What exactly happens when you try?

I can't remember if there was a keyboard shortcut, but when I click on the enter world/town button on the world map anywhere but over Arroyo nothing happens. That is I stay on the world map. Oddly enough it does work for Arroyo, but since most of the game actually happens elsewhere, that is all but useless to me. :(

Clicking on the Klamath button does move me automatically to Klamath, but I still can't enter the town that way.

Oh I see, because if you talk to one of the holograms in the EPA about the chemist vials, theres dialogue about them... which currently escapes me for what it told me to do, but it had some sort of purpose!

but nevertheless thanks for your answer! I also had a question about the poprocks... does that do anything?
 
@ wr3ck3d,
I believe the chemical vials were part of a quest that was removed, doctor's chemicals IIRC.

The poprocks do indeed work, but save before you try. :lol:
If you read the description on the poprocks you know what to do.
You have to put the items in your item slots and then use them on you for it to work though.

!!! OMG, i just tried it, i didn't know that they both had to be in active slots! HAHAHAHA awesome.

Also, what about the sprays? I attempted to use them in combat... but they didn't exactly want to work :/

If you haven't entered a town before, the town/world button doesn't work; you have to click on the green triange on the map.

They should work. One spray is for plants and the other is for insects. I believe you get 10 or so uses out of each can.
 
I think, and I'm unsure if this bug has been reported, but when I talked to Shadow-who-Walks, i chose an option that eventually led to showing a holo disk, after he agreed to stop leading them and blessed me etc. the dialogue closed and he attacked! instead of running away peacefully!

Also, i just tried the other dialogue option with his elder? and he also attacked me after i told him to run away from the bad spirits and he agreed to do so -.-

Oh and thank you killap! :[ it refused to work on those weird hornets in the EPA...

Oh and also some dialogue options that end with him getting mad don't result in him attacking, I.E. the elder string and then saying she drank something to have a vivid dream, and him saying you're lying and he'll taste your tongue? Something along those lines...

Okay sorry guys, but I did a fresh install and all the dialogues are working -.- weird i guess my install just messed up things?

Gah. Thanks, it's been so long since I last played, that I forgot something simple like that. :?
 
Question about the Hobologist stash.

Floor 3, there are 3 small safes that are locked.
Have lockpick 96 & Expanded Lockpick Set.
Still not get open.
Are there codes needed for that, like the in the Raider Cave?
