It can be, because the instant death roll threshold in Rats' critical table is pretty low. That's crazy. I experience it too with your save game but I have no idea why it's happening. I can start combat on other maps in Klamath (trapper town, etc), other cities (Den, etc) and all is well. Not Klamath downtown though. I have other save games which don't exhibit this behavior at all. I noticed you had called the save game 'quicksave'. You are absolutely correct! I had all the Klamath citizens (not all of them, but just those who use the kcitizen script) spawn in the center of the map. Lo and behold, no more crashing! There were actually two of them causing the crash but the other one was in plain sight.
Alright, so anyway... If a critter is south of the red line he will cause a crash.
The odd thing is that there is only a problem on the south side of the map. The other directions have no problems.
Also, that crash line is south of what exactly? I don't get it.
Could the high-res patch be involved somehow?
