Might as well ask this here.


Is the bugfix patch included in the Retoration patch or am I supposed to install one on top of the other?

is there a approximate relase date for the new version?

i wanna start f2 again but when i come here, i see that the latest release is the one that i played last time.

so should i wait a little longer or is there too much time still?

Beta is still up, so no official release date as of yet. People are finding some bugs that needs to be squashed in beta, but be patient.

And it has already been said at least 100 times...it takes all the time required. No deadlines considering that there's a single person working on this FREE project (he has a real life too).
 
Hello, I have a question.

I just downloaded Fallout 2 from gog and installed the Restoration project. I noticed that it didn't have the latest sfall release, so I replaced the dll file like it said in the sfall readme, and when I did it, the mouse would lag terribly, is there a way I can fix it? Or should I play with the provided sfall?

EDIT: Somehow, the game runs normally now.
 
Which version of the RP? Because this sticky is about the previous version, they are beta-testing the newest one as we speak (still a few bugs left to squash).

I is the 2.1.2b version.
 
I'd try out the 2.2 version myself actually (when it gets done testing in beta), I believe they've handled that problem by then.
 
hey Guys!

some days ago i wondered if my 14y old F2-CD was still working. So i tried it out and as well tried the latest release of this great mod.

long story short: i made it to the Horrigan-Fight with 5 Party-Members, Granite-Squad and no turrets (killed them just for fun). So here is my problem:
My PC doesn't deal ANY damage to horrigan with ANY weapon. First i tried the Pulse Rifle (my PM are dealing normal damage with it), then the G11e, Granades and so on. As is said, both my PM and the Granite-Squad deal normal damage to him, so they could just take him out while i lean back. Any ideas? I made no alterations to this mod, just the displaymode-stuff. If u need more information, i could just upload my save.

Oh, and i'm using the latest release of the german translation.

One more thing: Mrs. Wright "vanished" (she walked to the window left of her bed and...vanished) after i agreed to meet her at the church (she didn't show up either).

Do you have my damage calculation fix turned on? if so then go into the sfall ini file and set it to 0 to use the normal damage calculation

Unfortunately my fix was bugged due to division in the fallout exe not using decimals.

I am working on a new fix that performs division via subtraction in order to always be have whole integers in the calculation. I'll share more on this later.

i read something about horrigan being something unique i the way of scoring critical hits on him
maybe there is the problem, 'cause i had the sniper-perk and my luck chemed to 10
 
It appears I will have to leave Kurisu caged.

Arrived at the Slaver camp, killed the slavers, saved the slaves from the cage on the left side on the map and then, finally, went for Kurisu. She reunited with Sulik, I said lock and load and that's that. Whenever I initiate dialogue with her or touch the door (open/pick locks/keys) all I get to do is tell her it's not safe even though it obviously is.

Searched for this problem on the forums, there were some threads in which the solution was killing off some hidden slaver. However, I'm sure all the slavers on the map are dead in my case. I haven't seen any of them escape (and therefore go beyond the visible part of the location), I checked every corner thoroughly + used a motion sensor which indicated, that my char, my followers and Kurisu's band were the only living beings on the map.

Returned a bit later to check if anything changes after all the dead bodies disappear but still nothing.

Can't be sure but I suspect this bug is initiated by taking the "kill the slavers" line in the dialogue with Kurisu/Sulik when all of them are already dead.

I'm playing an iron man game so it's too late for me, but since I've seen no mentions of such a bug being mentioned and/or fixed in the upcoming RP's latest version, thought I'd drop by and share my story.
 
I'm new here

This is my first post and I'm not totally familiar with modding. I was just wondering how the mod interacts with your unofficial patch. Do I have to download the patch first, and then RP? Or is the patch included with RP?
