1. Where did you get 6 Enclave PAs?
It's a mix of APAs and HPAs:
APAs:
- me
- Sulik
- Mysterious Stranger

(H)PAs:
- Vic
- Cassidy
- wife/husband

What I'm asking is where did they come from, not who you gave them to.
I'm aware you can get two HPA's and two APA's in game. I didn't thought of MS, so I forgot he gets his own. There is a third T51-b I have no idea where it comes from. I'm only aware of the vanilla game's ones, I think it makes sense if you can get one from EPA or something like that.

About your problem with WINE and the FPS, could you post the output of this command?
~$ glxinfo | grep 'renderer'

I think you might be using software rasterizer, which is damn slow.

IIRC, to use a higher resolution without scaling you should config ddraw.ini to use no scaling and edit f2_res.ini to use the desired resolution. It's pretty self explained what to leave untouched in ddraw.ini if you are going to use the hi-res mod.

@Oppen
You can buy normal PA in SF, yet only 2 of them can be upgraded to HPA
Really? I didn't know about it. From who?
I know you can only harden two of them, but I was sure that's all you can get.
EDIT: I just remembered of a third T51-b, in fact I had it in my main savegame XD

Who do you think? There are only 1.8 decent shops in the game, east and west of the entrance to San Fran.

Quote from Pers guide:
This [SF] is actually a neat place, because you'll find two of the most worthwhile shops in game here, the Flying Dragon 8, which is a kind of general store which also carries some weapons and armour, and the Red 888 Guns, which carries guns, armour and ammo. From the latter you'll want to grab the Gauss Rifle right away, and both shops will have Power Armors for sale (if not right away then after a little while has passed).

Still , I'm not surprised, I think I also missed both these shops on my first playthrough ~ 10 years ago ;)

1. I am curious if that included the bug I recently encountered - Brain Bot completely vanishing from the game upon climbing down the rope in EPA.
Yeah, that one was fixed quite some time ago. Not sure why I never made it a hotfix either. The RP hasn't been updated in nearly 2 years (see my sig for the last release) but I've been fixing bugs on an internal build the whole time. Like I've been saying in this thread, a beta is on the horizon and then an official release a few weeks after that.

It wasn't my first playthrough
Well, I don't use stores a lot. Also, I DID met the merchants, but the best armor I saw in their stocks was Tesla Armor.
I usually play a thief, it makes the game a lot easier some times. Of course, if I ever play an iron man, that might be the worst idea ever :p

No, I did go through them a few weeks ago. Left many comments in bold. As always with Misc/Random Encounter reports, they are mainly engine/installation related issues. I know we all want a 100% bug free Fallout 2 experience, but don't hold your breath. The best I can do is fix all *known* map/script/text/item issues in the original game and the RP. I think that goal has been met with the original and it'll probably take another patch after this for the RP.
Has anyone reached out to Timeslip & the other vault engineers to invite them to go through the wiki and take a look at the bugs you aren't able to address, KillaP? Maybe they can nab a few of them, or at least give us better insight into why they're not fixable... ?

Sorry to hear you've been sick; 'tis the season. Hope you feel better soon (even though I do appreciate your making progress)! :-)

@memetics

I asked Timeslip in the FO2 Engine Tweaks thread to review the RP bug list sometime ago. I don't think she has though.

Another nice fixing sprint today. Even found a bug on my own that wasn't yet reported!

I might be jinxing things, but I foresee a closed beta coming out this week. I got 2-3 graphical glitch reports to sort through, then that's it for the bug reports. After that, I need to make sure all the maps load properly, all the files are in the right place, and then build the installer.

I thought about adding a "me, too" to your request - though she might be more likely to notice a request if it came from KillaP in a PM.... (Of course, she may simply be too busy with other things at the moment!)

The Den

Hello, I recently installed the mod and made a trip to 'the den'. When I enter, it is simply a black floor which has nothing in it - no textures, no npcs, no exit grids, etc. Klamath, Arroyo, and other locations are working fine. I'm not sure what I can do about that.

I have a clean, manual humongous installation of the game and the applicable patches and mod, and besides this problem the only one I know of so far is no music.

If anyone knows a way to fix this problem please let me know! Thanks.

BTW, Killap thanks for all your efforts - hopefully I can play the mod.

Sounds like some kind of map-file corruption to me (but what do I know?). If you have a savegame from before you entered the Den, you might try to do a fresh RP installation to a new folder, then copy the savegame over to it. If that doesn't fix the problem, then at least you'd know that the problem probably isn't with the installation itself.

About the music: Can you manually play the music files in the Fallout2\DATA\SOUND\MUSIC folder?

I saw a comment I left in one of the RP script files. Wasn't an interesting comment but it was from 2006. Wow, has it really been 6 years (on and off) working on the RP and 7 years (on and off as well) for the unofficial patch? ...

Graphical glitches mentioned previously are addressed and maps appear in working order.

I need to make Pixote's new Lenny model an option in the installer and implement another addition to the Abbey. Moar content! I think that will be it though.

I've posted two bugs on the wiki.

1. A typo in the dialog with proconsul Gregory.
2. No time passes when shuffling crap in Broken Hills.

Hi, Killap. I know it's a dumb question but does restoration project stacks with your unofficial patch? I installed rest. project, then the patch and i don't have the objects i supposed to have in the game with rest. project (Sulik's village, for example). Please help.

The RP is based on the patch. You either install the patch to play Fo2 patched or you install the RP. If you install the RP and then the patch, you have - at least partly - overwritten the RP.

You should've read the technical info in falloutmods. You're not supposed to install the patch if you already installed the RP. It contains files which will override the ones from RP. And that's why you've lost some maps.
You should probably reinstall RP.
